Welcome to a very rushed version of this weeks Wolfister's Weekly one cent stats. It's been a very busy week once again at Wolfister Inc (the big blue office at the bottom end of town), which has resulted in the stats not being posted till just a couple of hours before the game. Hope the message can still get through to the boys in time!

Carlton have played Port Adelaide 13 times since Port's inception in 1997, and we've won only 3 of those encounters (23.1%) at PM-211. We've won none of our last 5 (PM-166) and only 2 of our last 10 (PM-138) - with, of course, the 1 draw in Round 4 earlier this year. In fact, we've not actually beaten the Power since June 24 2001, where we got up by 34 points in a memorable clash at Football Park. We've never played Port at the MCG - in fact we've never played them anywhere but Football Park or Optus Oval!

Round 19s only began in 1945, and in the following 43 Round 19 clashes, we've won 23 of them (53.5%) at PM+368. We've won 1 of our last 5 (which was last year's win over the Bombers at a wet MCG) at PM-82, and 4 of our last 10 (PM-61). We've played Port Adelaide twice in Round 10 - in 2002 and 2003 - both losses - at a combined PM-53. We've played at the MCG 9 times in Round 19 for 6 wins (66.7%) at PM+99 - actually, one of the first ever Sunday games was played at the MCG in 1981 between Carlton and South Melbourne, with Carlton running out 23 point winners. For those supporters looking for the loss this week, they'll be pleased to know that the last 5 Round 19 MCG games have gone wlwlw...

The Blues have played on August 7 13 times for 9 wins (69.2%) at PM+226. We've won our last 4 in a row (going back to 1976) - the last of which being that game against Essendon* last year. We've played at the MCG 3 times on August 7 for 2 wins (PM+8). This will be the first time we've played an August 7 game on a Sunday.

Till next week, remember that 79% of stats probably wouldn't have sent England in once they knew McGrath was injured.

Wolf Out.

What percentage of teams have won so close to the end of the year with a PP in sight?
