I had a funny day.. I was updating my Hawthorn pro-tanking mate on that result.... and he was a bit down for most of the day....

So, I suppose a positive was... I didn't have to worry about our own performance, as I was following the result in the other game more closely....? does that count?

today was a shocking discrace of a result, but it just doesn't hurt like it should.

positives were another game under the belt for a few of our young guns.

fev not dropping his buddle and playing the whole second half out on Lloyd. her did well an better than t-bird who was having a shocker.

digbys point aftyer the siren was a positive.

carrazzo and bentick p;layed the game out well.

we still kicked a decent score.

I agree it doesn't hurt like it should. I probably enjoyed watching my nephew experience a win for his team and so that took away from my own pain.

About the only thing I could come up with was the point from Diggers....but geez how hard did we try to lose by more. When you're inside 50...HAVE A SHOT!!!!!!

I think bentick tried hard - should not have been off the field for whole of 2nd qtr - i dont understand why we are the only team that doesnt have a rotation - its either on for the whole time or off - has pagan heard about giving players 5-10 mins rest.

Carazzo shows pace and class - dont understand why he was on bench whole of 1st qtr, yet kouta remained on the ball and could not get a touch -if kouta is not touching it - put him on the bench - rotation damn it!!!

I cant really remember anyone else doing anything great - fisher and waite tried hard.

I suppose scotland also played ok. campo obvioulsy was very loose in defence - i hate how we using him to give help to cover leading forwards as he never has the guts to actually get in front of the leading forward - he is very good at having the ball just go over his head.

I am feeling for teague at the moment - he just has no confidence - last year everytime the ball went near him he won the one on one, now it always bounces the oppositions way.

thornton had a shocker, but i still think he is a good full back and he will come back next week and season much better - he is still young as well - something we forget.

Altho wiggins didnt do anything wrong - i just cant see him being a consistent afl player - he has nothing special to his bow - he has been around 4+ years now and struggles to get more than a handful of possessions.

I am looking forward to the extra first round pick - draft time should be exciting for us and am looking forward to the first pre-season training reports!

No streakers run the field after a shit performance or would it be a highlight if they did.

Agro Junior played in another winning Grand Final (back to back 8) ), so that was a pretty positive Sunday Afternoon for the Agro family. 8)

Nice day at the football that.

Surely Lloyd would be under scrutiny for his cheap shot on Andrew Walker?

If Monga gets scrapped for a week that would be a positive.

Ohh....what am I thinking, Lloyd's actually allowed to do that stuff. He tucks his top into his shorts before he kicks for goal. He couldn't be a dirty mongrel then could he?

Could he?

Haven't seen the game, but I've no doubt it was only a 'love tap'!

Stiff arm with open hand to the guts in a contest. Not reportable IMO but enough to wind AW for a few seconds.

If Lloyd can get off for breaking a bloke's jaw, for elbowing another bloke in the head the year prior and for punching last week - why in the hell should he be suspended for love taps?

I would be very surprised if Lloyd, Solomon or Fletcher ever get reported.
They seem to have an endless supply of "get out of jail free" cards.

In hindisght on season 2005, with the standard 1 all pattern of Carlton v Bombers games, I thought of one other positive

We won the clash when it mattered. When the season was starting, and both teams were full of hope. Arguably we helped to end their season.

Their win was in junk time at a junk stage of the year when nothing was of consequence (apologies to pride-ist readers). To me, I am convinced I got more joy out of that win than Bombers fans did winning that nothing game on the weekend.

good get Molsey - I said the same to the bloke at work this morning. We won when it mattered! And we gave them a head start, let them get that dancing in the streets feeling and then came back with a vengance - now that was a sweet win!

Didn't we win both games?
