Well its now the end of the season and time to look at where the club is going and where we are. Obviously there are a number of players who need to be given the ass, they are:

De-List:
David Clarke
Jordan Bannsiter
Ian Prendergast
Glen Bowyer
Justin Davies
Simon Wiggins
Trent Sporn
Bret Johnson

Trade Bate:
Houlihan
Lappin (unless pay cuts are taken)
Camporeale (unless pay cuts are taken)
Whitnall (unless pay cuts are taken)

We will hopefully pick up 2 or 3 un contracted players and atleast 1 of them being a solid contributor. Houlihan could be traded for something good as could whitnall. Lappin and Camporeale could get us something decent.

Setanta Ohailpin will be elevated to the senior list and should hopefully play 15 or more games.

If we delist 8 players we will currently have picks 1, 4, 20, 36, 52, 68, 84, 100. Obviously these depend on what other teams do in the draft and most teams will pass on later picks.

The only one I would possibly keep is Johnson as I think he still has something to offer (in the short term).

Hey Barone, what do you think we could get for Houlihan? I'm hoping for at least a top 20 pick.

Possibly a Salopek or a Montagna type.
Depending on the club i dont think a top 25 pick is out of the question. A team who has a young list and are a chance for premierships would take him for that.
He almost went to Melbourne last year or the year before so they may trade a pick or a half decent player for him.

i'd keep one of wiggo or sporny unless they are a sweetener for a trade.

and i'd add Karl to the list on the chopping block.
no way i'd keep johnson who hans't kept his place in the team with Carrazzo, Bentick and Simpson stepping up into senior roles. Plus Blackwell (who i have a lot of faith in) and even Jesse Smith seems more capable of playing the same role.

as much as i love Bowyer i think he will also go, but i'd hope we could keep him in the VFL side next year as he is a good team man and role model.

Lance has played 83 quarters of footy this year about a 2/3rds of them have been in the backline . Meaning he has played about 32 quarters up forward .He has kicked 24 goal - thats about 3 goal a game not a bad output for a CHF don't you think. Also I dont know the stats but I am sure Fevolas output has dropped since Lance moved away So why is he down back??

Lappin made AA last year and should have won our B&F playing accross HB - why has he played all year accross HF

Houlihan lacks commitment and doesn't tackle but can deliver the ball beautifully - Remember 2nd 1/4 against Geelong. Why was/is he played accross Half back??

Bannister played tagging role last year a took out some pretty big scalps finished top 10 in the B&F - He never played that role this year ????

If there is anyone on the site that is in the inner circle can they answer these questions

If this were so, do you think anyone would admit it?

Melbourne's interest in Houla a couple of years back is common knowledge. ;)

You're dreaming if you think another club is going to offer a decent pick for a player who's been unable to make the bottom side. If Pagan wanted to trade him he wouldn't have played him in the VFL. He's a required player who won't be going anywhere.
