Just saw that.

Haven't heard of the author before, but he really seems to be up with his footy.

An accurate, and very nicely written article.

There was a disclaimer at the bottom of the article:

"Angus Morgan is afl.com.au's senior editor. His views are not necessarily those of the AFL or the clubs."

His views many be those of the AFL but the certainly match mine. Spot-on article. Big elephant stamp for Angus.

Angus a big Carlton fan who i believe also sponsors a player along with the beast Tony DeBolfo. Excellent synopsis.

A very good and honest assessment with a couple of interesting tit bits particularly the comment regarding Fevola and him being signed meaning nothing.

Yep, good honest piece. Well done.

Gotta love Denis, he may not look the best in his press conferences, but he delivers every single time. :P

Quote:
What the coach says: "It's been (a) disappointing (season), it has to be. You can't finish on the bottom and think other than that. The reality is we are three years through a five-year sentence. I think the club's done pretty well from the scenario they're in, but it hasn’t made any impact yet. I can tell you that in a previous life, sometimes I was in automatic pilot and people would be patting me on the back saying - 'you're a champion' - and all I was doing was having a latte and watching the footy. Then we get beaten by nine goals and people say - 'you're a moron, Pagan'. I know in my own mind what we've done. We know where we are. I don't need to discuss it with anybody else because, at the end of the day, nobody wants to talk about losses - they only want to see wins. I accept that. I'm a big boy." - Carlton coach Denis Pagan ahead of the Blues Round 22 match against the Kangaroos.
