Whats really pisses me off is :
If a central or goal umpire makes an obvious error,commentators,the media and talkback radio morons always advocate"sending him/her "back to the bush",as some kind of perverse punishment.
We all know that "the bush" has:
endured one of the worst droughts in history.
small towns are closing down.
unemployment is at an all time high.
Fuel prices are sky high:etc,
And yet,some people seem to think we need to be punished a little more!

I think I would have nightmares if Angwin played at the Bombers. He had what it took to be a champion ( talent wise ). Maybe we should have got rid of Karl and kept Angwin. If he got another chance and came good he'd be a star.

You have to be kidding! he got the arse from the amateur club he played at after the finished with the blues. LA more than ran out of chances...

I'm looking at it more from a talent perspective. Pagan even stated he was the best young talent he had seen since Carey.

I know G. Ablett was a loose cannon when he was younger and look what he did.

And what's more that Angwin rumour has been doing the rounds every year since he left Carlton. Why? Because Essendon* were meant to pick him up the year we did, so everyone naturally assumes that Essendon* are going to pick him up this time.

Oh and his mate Norman is available. May as well chuck him into the Angwin/Essendon* rumour, spin it around a few times and spit it back out as "inside knowledge".

Dont know anything about Norman.But do have a bit of real info on Angwin.Despite what anyone tells you,there was a mad scramble by at least 5 clubs after he got the lemonade and sarse from us.This is undeniable fact.Why did he not get picked up ? It wasnt what he did when he was with us,but what he did afterwards.Poor Lawrie went into such a bad nosedive that he scared them all away..............Believe it or not there is still a bit of interest in him,but how much i am not sure.With lawrie's height,pace,and mobility and pure talent,got a feeling someone will tumble into him.

As for Eade's thoughts on former Carlton defender Karl Norman not turning up, after he was invited to join in pre-season training with the Bulldogs?

"He hasn't turned up and we haven't heard from him," Eade said.

"It's not disappointing, because it was just an invite and he's just a back-type player and we wanted to see what he was about and whether he was keen enough to actually put his hand up and obviously he wasn't for various reasons.
