A tip for Fev, a tick for Lance ... but not Campo

Quote:

Sorry but i couldnt find a link to this.

If you barrack for Collingwood or Essendon*, the prospect of having someone at your club with ties to Carlton will probably make you feel violently ill.
Fair enough too, as thats what the game is all about - emotion
So, here are the pros and cons of adding Campo to your list.

Why the pies should pick him

He's good
It will piss off Essendon*.
It will stop supporters thinking about Heath Scotland and Nick Stevens playing for Carlton.
The Collingwood chicks will dig him.
They can afford him (Sheeds says they have stacks of cash).

Why they shouldn't

He's from CARLTON!
He decked Brodie Holland a couple of years ago.
Commentators cant be exspected to say in a sentance: Iacobucci gets it to Prestigiacomo who kicks it long to Camporeale.
He's a bit old and Bucks might not like him.
He looks stupid in a Collingwood jumper (see page 96 of Wednesdays Herald Sun.
He's from CARLTON!

Why the dons should pick him up

He's good.
It will piss off Carlton and add to the rivalry.
His hairdo will complement Lloyd's and Hird's.
He'd look better in an Essendon* jumper.

Why they shouldn't

He's from CARLTON!
He's expensive and ageing and Hirdy might feel like Bucks.
His hair will constantly get messed up at Windy Hill training.
Remember the Justin Murphy experiment?
He's from CARLTON!

Just let him go to Port or Freo, or somewhere no one gives a fig.

You missed one:

Cause Mandy really, really wants him at Collingwood.

Interesting how this article went mostly un-noticed...

He's good...perhaps.
It will piss off Essendon*...This is the only reason.
It will stop supporters thinking about Heath Scotland and Nick Stevens playing for Carlton...Carlton fans don't even think about Scotland, why would we?
The Collingwood chicks will dig him...When you've got the likes of Licuria, Tarrant, Holland and Wakelin on the list, he wouldn't even get a look in.
They can afford him, (Stacks of cash)...and don't we know it... :-D

So on the basis of all that, by us drafting him it would achieve one thing - Pissing off Essendon*.

And the Barry Mitchell fiasco must have taught us something...

No to Campo.

Pagan's comments on Campo are spot on but perhaps a coach has more leeway to say that than a team-mate.

Nice to hear the good news about Lappin.

He could have stayed and appeared in that beauty salon ad with Fev.

Back on topic now, can someone with a better memory than me tell me roughly what percentage of the year Lance played in the backline?
Quote:
"When Lance is really fit and sharp, I still think he's capable of playing forward. When he's not as fit as he can be, I think he's probably better suited down back because, as a forward, it's pretty hard to get off your opponent."

I would have thought it was a fair portion of the year, which makes the previous comment from Denis intersting in light of what he had earlier stated:

Quote:
"He came third (in the best-and-fairest) this year; had a pretty good year, I reckon."
