Interesting interview with Lloyd :

https://www.carltonfc.com.au/video/2019-05-20/lloyd-soulsearching-moments-in-the-rooms

Said he wants the players to be more brutal, and he seemed to suggest that the Mumford hit was good, and that people like to watch brutal footy..

When Garry pressed him about a pass mark, he talked about 'the next block of four games'.... Without saying how many wins would be a pass mark.

From that I would guess that Bolts has four weeks to at least win once, or he might start to be in trouble.

With next 4 games vs bottom 8 teams, we must win at least 2, but preferably 3. If we play at, or better than standard we showed vs Bulldogs and Magpies, then we should be setting goal of wining all 4.

He sounded out of his depth in that interview. Not sure how much media training he’s had but he sounded shaky af

With leadership such as this, it’s no wonder we are getting reamed on all fronts by the AFL. So sad.

Well this was hard to find... so Brad's end is upon us. Firstly, thank you for your efforts. 7 years at the helm. It's a valuable contribution to the club.

Rumours that we're into Danny Daly and Chris Davies. I'm not sure I even know what the football manager does. I'm sure it's important so I hope we get a good one

Danny Daly - probably dreaming, under contract at Brions, but hey no harm asking the question. If this was to pass, it would be a MASSIVE get.

Chris Davies - Has a role at PA. I know nothing else about him

Then another name I have heard:

Ken Hinkley - IMO a perfect appointment. Kenny did the obligatory bat away to the media today on this suggestion and others more broadly, so that in itself suggests this is at least a strong-ish possibility.... Of course the irony is we play his team this weekend, so of course he is going to play a straight bat to media on this.

Yeah , with a bit of luck we might give them a flogging . That would give Kenny something to think about . Just got this gut feeling Kenny with his bubbly enthusiastic manner would be just the tonic we need around the clubrooms .

I don't know what else you wanted me to do... it was a posting action. Brad Lloyd had a duty of care to protect his own job

Yes, but when reviewed in slow motion you still had half a second to change course of action.

Has Wright stated what the process will be to recruit Lloyd's replacement?

Or is it purely a CEO call?

Leigh Matthews' comments on Couch last night about when he was lured back into coaching by the Lions were interesting. Possibly a bit old skool, but essentially, he was saying the benefit of him being headhunted was it gave him the ability to say if you want me then I want to bring these 5 or 6 people to help me run the footy dept as well.

Whereas if a coach wins with a process they often have to work with the staff/assistants that are already there, which might work, but might not.

So in answer to Bluey44's question, now that Voss has been backed in by Wright and the board, it will be interesting to see what influence, if any, Voss has on any forthcoming appointments.
