Vloss and co. have built a list for bomb, bomb, bomb.

In 2026... one third of the game plan seems disinterested down back, the second third got old and no longer in Brownlow form, and the final third in now at the Swans.

The game has changed and the list is unable to adjust.

People praised the club for not parting ways... but this gap year will hurt.

Yep. The opposition let us do what we want in the first half of games, then the players are all caught out how bad they are. Just replace them all.

We need to finish low enough so we don’t get reamed too much for recruiting Walker, so we keep Voss for now.

As Keogh says, changing the coach is useless, it’s the board that has to change, and the players.

Worst case scenario nothing changes, Voss is sakced and the new guy needs a year to dip his toe... at least two more years in the wilderness.

But... if Harry doesn't miss half the season concussing himself, if we ditch the bomb-bomb-bomb game plan, if we can develop a mobile forward setup, if we can get more goals from mids... we should be thereabouts.
It needs to start with Cripps getting back to Brownlow form.

Do people see that happening? These big bodied inside mids tend to fall off the cliff reasonably quickly.

Our inability to punish turnover in the first half cost us a 5 goal lead. Indecision and inability to execute.

Yep.
Missed goals is bad business.

I wonder what our scoring accuracy in second halves vs first halves is? We seem to have no problem kicking points in second halves.

Edit:

The drop-off from first half to second half is 6.22 percentage points in 2025 and 9.97 percentage points in 2026. Carlton are also taking fewer shots after halftime — 239 vs 265 in 2025 and 77 vs 83 in 2026 — meaning the team is both creating less and finishing worse as games wear on. 55% to 45% accuracy in 2026.

Guys
It's not Voss
It's not his fault
Sacking him won't help
We need stability
We've turned a corner
It's starting to click
We were always going to lose this year
Stop blaming vossy
He's perfect
Oh yeah and something about Cody and tanking

We most probably won’t win another game before the long break, perhaps only game one may be looking forward to is against the Bombers and even then it’s a 50/50 at best.
Reckon Voss will be shown the door during the lobreak.
We need to begin flushing out the negativity and gradually begin to resetting the mindset.
It will take a season or two the heal the scars of the last 2 decades.

To all those who hysterically reacted to my “forcibly removed” post earlier in the week. Please, take a chill pill.

On reflection, yes the words could’ve been different and it can be interpreted rather aggressively.

I was not for one second suggesting anything like a lynch mob or trying to incite anything.

The point I was trying to make, albeit ordinarily, is that this guy is stubborn and has continually doubled and tripled down on his outdated and ineffective game plan. He’s destroyed players’ confidence, allowed supremely talented players to leave and there are signs already he’s doing the same with the new crop of youngsters - Jagga and Lord, Flynn Young and Wilson etc.

What I meant to say is, he needs to be tapped on the shoulder and told, your time is up. He’s not going to change. He’s not going to sacrifice anything or adapt for the greater good. There’s a massive sample size not just at Carlton but also as a coach at Brisbane. He rubs people up the wrong way, gets players offside, uses word salads like a politician to deflect and obfuscate the glaring issues. It’s amazing that the media has let him get away with it for so long.

He’s one of those people you see in corporate roles who has the gift of the gab to bamboozle you in the moment, and when you escape the trance, you realise…hang on second? But it’s too late, and the cycle continues.

So he needs to be relieved of his duties. GW, you screwed up badly keeping him on. Somehow, you have a second chance here to salvage something, there’s still two thirds of the season to go!

Pull. The. Trigger. NOW.

Or for shits and giggles, let him go to Brisbane and cop an absolute hiding and do it then, it would be fitting that the club he destroyed for a decade is the one that seals his fate once and for all.
