Aren’t there any good ruckman we could pickup in the mid season draft?

 Ex Blue and volley baller Alex Mirkov

I’ve watched him this year a couple times because I have a soft spot for the Seaguls and in the opening rounds vs Carlton.

He has evolved. He looks stronger. He isn’t getting smaller. Taking marks and kicky goals.

At 210cm plus height coupled with his huge wingspan and with that added reach, he doesn’t need to jump at the CB, and gets first hand around the ground.

I thought he was improving at Carlton too.

I’d prefer Mirkov to Reidy.
It’s players like him we need to add.

How’s his engine Doc?

he might come back now Vossy is gone. was not a fan

Go back to teaching PE then, snowflake.

I hope we don't have any injuries this week, let alone LTI

O'Farrell is impressing at training. Looks like he will be ready to play in a month's time.

I'd like a pick in next week's MSD. I'd like developing ruckman Fynn Riley before Dees snap him up.

We need a developing ruckman imo, and Riley, 21 this year, like O'Keefe, already shows a lot more in the ruck than reidy albeit 5 years younger.

I'm sure Elijah can be put on the LTI. If not, I'd put Harry on the LTI.

GET RILEY before we lose him forever.

I bet we are too scared to put Lij on the LTI as everyone will be going. Oh poor Lij, he has mental health issues and what does Carlton too. DISCARD HIM !! Omg the travesty of the situation.

Bad bad evil Carlton. Far out they treat their players like shite.

Completely agree.
As long as we continue to give him the support he needs, why can't we?

LTI isn't delisting.
But, he may still be delisted.

100% he will be.

But the optics of putting him on the LTI list now is not good.

It’s impossible for us to finish lower than Scum & Tigers. They are absolutely legless.

The problem we face is that we can’t afford to go up the ladder unless Sydney come back down.

Pick 3 will need at least #27 as the 2nd selection to match a bid at #1.
Pick 4 will need #20 or better - that’s the premier’s pick, plus two makey uppy.
Pick 5 will need #16.
Pick 6 will need #13.

If we finish 16th we can trade Weiters to Richmond for their pick and some, then trade our 2027 2 x firsts to Essenscum* for their 2026 first.
Then bid on Cochrane at pick 1, take Cody at pick 2, Van Hattum (Ruck) at pick 3 and Arki Butler (Toby Greene clone) with pick 4.
Trade our bonus 2nd and 1 or both of our other 2026 2nd rounders for a 2028 1st to help get Lukas Kouta.
Done deal and F%^^k the AFL.

And if we really want to make a statement, trade Cripps to WCE and get their pick 5 which we could use or seperate to have 2 more picks in the first round.
Clancy Snell looks like a gun lockdown defender at 196cm and Jack Pickett is supposed to be a gun tall at 194cm, has had ACL injury though.

The only hiccup would be if one of those 3 teams have an RFA leaving and they get a compo pick.

But I doubt any of the bottom 4 clubs will trade their picks out given the chance to get a guaranteed bonus pick.

Looks like we will be paying through the teeth for Cody, he'll go pick 1 or 2.
