That could work actually....they could have a politician as the mascot

Would have to be Pauline considering the club colours.

The Orange tsunami vs the Muslim tsunami?

Given that yesterday was a big, GWS sponsored, “Cultural Heritage Series” featuring citizenship ceremonies and multicultural celebrations all day long, I find this doubtful.

Also noted kingsleys pre game interview. Seemed very relaxed and felt like he thought it would be a walk in the park

He seemed super relaxed *after* losing one their fans probably had pencilled in too. maybe that's just him.

I didn't *expect* to win, but I thought we were a damn good chance, and if I was a gambler I would've been all over the 3.30 -3.50 we were paying.

Speaking of dollars and cents, a GWS game must be one of the best value nights out around. 27 bucks for adult general admission, including public transport (which I didn't realise until I arrived at the ground, and didn't know how to claim). Might have to bring my eldest one day, even though he's liable to want out after 15 mins... low risk punt, and at least he'd enjoy the pre match carnival.

Proper 4qtr performance. Never wavered in confidence or style even when challenged.

I don't know if Fraser is the answer but if someone tries to tell me this is Voss's style under a new coach I'll SPEW UP.

Players played for each other. So much effort and sacrifice.

Even Ison who had a quiet game had a crucial effort, sandwiched between 2 taller players, to break even in the forward line.

My favourite effort of the season. Even ahead of Geelong.

This is Voss's style under a new coach.
I can't see any element of Voss football other than win contest (which isn't a game plan so much as a necessity).

This is Fraseball.

Apologies as I was stirring the pot with that comment (mostly anyway) I should have added a smiling emoji but was a bit drunk and tired when I posted last night.
Dang. Got me

The reasons for the Blues resurgence are many but Capt Obvious would suggest it has come with our middle tier players playing consistent football and supporting our new kids.

Cera, Acres, Gov, Pitto, Ainsworth, Florent, Hayward, Haynes and Newy are all putting in very solid performances these past 6 weeks.

It has taken so much pressure off the kids and allowed them to settle.

Having Walshy, Crippa and Hewy in career best is a real blessing.

Kudos to Fraser and the Coaching group for coming together so tightly.

Regards Cazzesman

Interesting game next week
Expect to win comfortably
How often have we been disappointed when this happens
WC on their day are ok

According to Sydney Blue the epicentre of suburban AFL in Sydney is castle hill, that where GWS should be located and have a home ground.
There are 2 areas in Sydney where there is a lot of Afl support. The Hills District and the Eastern suburbs. The Swans own the Eastern suburbs.
It is not Homebush and not Blacktown.

Castle Hill has a Showground that could easily be developed into a stadium similar to Engie. It has a railway station 200 metres from the ground that connects all the way out to Rouse Hill to Central station.
There is also a Multi level carpark attached to the station.
Baulkham Hills Rouse Hill Pennant Hills and East Coast Eagles have so many junior sides that they have multiple divisions in age groups.
East Coast Eagles now have a woman team .

Homebush is not considered Western Sydney. And Blacktown Parramatta and Penrith is Heartland NRL.
There are a heap of Private schools who all field Afl teams in North Western Sydney

It has been for many years the logical place for GWS and it is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia plus the people living there are generally more affluent than those living west of Parramatta

Completely agree. If 2 teams in Sydney is to work.

I’m not sure the AFL is going to pull 30000 solid Member's from there either.
Well, not for a couple decades. GWS? Never.
Who is responsible for wasting $100M plus since 2009? Heads should roll.

Incompetent decision by AFL. Living in hope. Pushing shit up hill.
AFL Commission look good because of the history of the game.
Rusted on supporters over Generations, with each next generation having deeper pockets.

AFL Commission are a white elephant. A con job, made up by con men.
No one is accountable. why? There is no transparency or deterrence for bad decisions.
Have a look at the rule book alone. It’s a play thing. Shouldnt be.
Rules are sacrosanct. Father Son sacrosanct. Navy Blue jumper sacrosanct.

Move them to Canberra and call them Canberra Giants or Castle Hill and call them Sydney Giants.
Forget tribalism of the suburbs. You can’t make up history.

1864. Thats history.

Banger of a club song, though. Found myself smiling and tapping along when it played before the game. Wherever they go, it has to be somewhere that preserves the meter.

Castle Hill would be nice. Pennant Hills better. My parents live in Beecroft, it would be a good base. Took 2h15m to get home for the game after some idiots vandalised the train and wouldn't leave when ordered by the guard so the train got held at Stanmore while the cops arrived and I missed my connection. I'll only make that trip for the Blues.

Whoever in the Giants admin made the decision to turn away from ECE etc and instead partner with Manly should be named and shamed. I don't think the hybrid thing is working - they consistently sell it out in Canberra - just move here permanently.
