Word was last year that the great man David Parkin was approached by the club to help mentor some of the players.

Was Terry Daniher's arrival at the club a decision made instead of Parkin. Or was Parkin never a subject matter even raised?

What is lacking down at the club at this present moment is some wise thinkers and Parkin is one of the best. His communication skills are second to none and his presence around the club would result in a much smarter, more powerfully driven team.

If not Parkin, then what fresher blood is out there that could potentially add something extra to the current team's fortunes...

It sure is appearing to be a hard job for Pagan to turn around the team's fortunes and maybe with another "teacher" around the place, better team success may come a lot quicker...

Personally, while I think our younger players could be inspired by the advice of some former club legends (Ratten, Dean, Silvagni, McKay) and also players from other clubs (Carey, Voss when he reties, Nathan Burke) we shouldn't rely on that, our Coach and our Assistant Coaches should be enough to bring the best out in them. If not, then we have the wrong coaching staff.

It would be great to have Parko down and help the boys out. Parkin and Carlton equal success and boy it was great pre 2002 when we were a brilliant side....

I'd rather look at those days than look at the shit i saw today. Apart from 2002 and salary cap mess (which has been very painful!) parko, elliot and co meant success, winning, proud arrogance and why wouldn't people want to look back at those days?

Much better than the shit we are seeing now!

Well if today's match was anything to go by, then Pagan really, REALLY does appear to have a shit load of problems facing him...

Don't give me this shit that it is only a practice match...Nothing explains for a 100 point drubbing!...Maybe if we were a Sydney or a West Coast where we HAD that option of flicking on/off the switch, supporters could rest a little easier...but Carlton does NOT have that option....We simply are SHIT!!!...

I sure hope that Denis is coping alright at the moment, because for a coach with his credentials, he surely must be asking himself right now, WHY BOTHER!?!?...
