Look if the price is right, I'll do it.
You'll have to lure me out from the Sunshine Coast, but for the team, I'll do it.

Gary Lyon

Last year on 3AW, Gary Lyon laughed at the proposal that he'd coach Carlton and said he wouldn't take on an uncompetitive, bottom of the ladder team like the Blues.

It says loads about his character or his intelligence or both - you be the judge.

Gary Lyon doesn't have the guts to leave his cushy 6 figure salaried job now to take on a coaching role.

The Tim Watson experiment put paid to any coach attaining a Senior AFL Coaching role without doing an Assistant Coach Apprenticeship.

Gary Lyon is hardly going to leave his cushy media job to take on an Assitant Coach role (at around $100,000pa).

Forget the talk of forced mergers If we employ that [REDACTED] Lyon I wont watch/support us again until he's gone.

Of all those mentioned im with Ponk. Ken Sheldon if we do give DP the flick.

Sorry, I wasn't for one minute suggesting going for Gary Lyon as a Coach, only suggesting that he doesn't have the guts to leave his cushy media job for a coaching job. Although he does love the effect this speculation has on his media career though.

Agro I was lazy quoting you and not mjonc, sorry. I agree with you but not only doesnt he have the balls he doesnt have the brains. Listening to his commentry only helps to reinforce my opinion that he has no @#$%&! idea about football, the amount of times he singles out players for special mention and he gets it wrong is amazing.
