Hehe, whoever it is they need to lead from about 30 out past the 50 arc and deliver to the forwards leading from the goal square, so that may rule out Lance because he'll be creating space in the forward line - we need someone to bullock, for mine that's Kennedy, Santy or Waite.

In modern footy there really isnt a trueCHF anymore.

Whitnall is best suited to the forward line because his footy smarts can be more constructively used.It is finding the right mix for the best six.


Waite may play further up the ground this year in a more running capacity.He would be a hard match up.

The other player I would like to see play up forward a bit is Teague.May play a similar role to Hickmott a few years ago(the defensive forward)Teague is a good mark an excellent kick and would provide plenty of pressure on running backs.His days as a defender are almost over and we need to experiment a bit more with players to see whether they have a future roll with the club

Livo/Hartlett at FB and Thornton CHB - dunno what you guys are on about Thornton will be fine if he's given the same job as Lance has now.

It's just a matter of who takes his old job of streaming out as an option, for mine that's Bower, though for the moment I'd encourage him to hold up the ball for T-Bird

This places Whitnall in the forward line, probably working around from the top of the goal square to about 45 out from goal, with Fev operating leads up the ground and Lance with some hot shoe shuffle as he double backs, then double backs again. Just need our midfielders co-ordinating better with Lance and when they need the easy option they kick it to a lead (Fev) with two crumbers (Murphy/Houla/Simmo and Betts)... ok I better stop talking before I give the opposition too many ideas
