TC track watchers/insiders

maybe i have missed it, but do we have any updates on his progress from the 'Baker's cyst' episode.

would love to have back him back on track soon - perhaps (praying) a wild card in the fortunes of our maligned back half.

cheers all

(p.s go aussies - creaming the proteas at the moment)

Bad luck about the Aussies - Mick Lewis can rot in hell... so tired of watching him get creamed and the selectors doing nothing :(

I'm fairly sure that he'll be up and running in a week or so (to play, he's already running :P).

Developed a baker's cyst on his left knee. Had arthroscopic surgery and should be 100% for round 1.

Hey London Blue,

doesn't that have a nice ring to it (especially if he serves us well with his experience, agility, height, and.....ie his body holds up)

Then the talls available for us to choose from for the back half would include:

Hartlett (196)
Saddington (194)
Thornton (192)
Whitnall (190)
Livingston (192)

Kennedy (195)
Bower (193)

Bryan (197)
O'hAlpin (199)
Waite (194)

That's a bit of a change from the past few years when we were scratching to find someone to support Thornton, and at times Livo, with the likes of Prenders and Whitnall; our only experienced CHF.

Oh the times are a changing, and...

THE EMPIRE WILL STRKE BACK!!

Ran laps at training last Wednesday no sign of any issues in his running action.

thanks for the update guys - much appreaciated. (Bondi you are a bloody postive cyclone of fresh air - keep it up BB...love your work)

Saddington is an unknown for us and i like it. Based on our mixed pre-season so far, if he comes good he adds the two things we need back there - height, experience.

and the aussies? what was Ponting thinking letting ML bowl out his 10 overs?

so does everyone think saddo is good enough to trhough straing into the first for round 1? considering he has no game time in the preseason matches?

or whould he need a few runs in the ressies, and a teague/livo/harlo would get the nod over him?

i'm looking forward to seeing how he goes down back for us

4 years ago he'd go straight in, I don't know now.

Depends on how much this cyst has set back his preseason progress.

Saddo is a professional and so long as he is at full fitness I can see him coming straight into the lineup.

He is a waste of a pick...very injury prone & the best he can offer has already gone past him.... 4 years a go, he was a key backman and had a bit of dash about him, but his injuries cost him, and i just dont think he can ever recover to make himself a permanent AFL player!!!!!

funnier things have happned though so fingers Crossed that he can make a Fresh start and make a fair contribution to our Disastrious backline :)

We only need a year out of him while Bower, Kennedy and Harts finish filling out.

Agreed i doubt Pagan brought him to Carlton thinking he would be a 10 year player! He will add depth to a weak defence.

This just went up on the site:

http://carltonfc.com.au/default.asp?pg=injurylist

So Saddington plus Kennedy plus others are pretty close now - does anyone know if Kennedy will get some time with the Bullants this weekend?

:? And the late, late news is that Josh might only be a 30/70 chance depending on how he goes this week on the track. They might want to get another week of full contact training into him.

If he plays he plays and I will leave it at that I guess. Get along to the game anyway because the Ants might finally have some strong opposition this weekend from Werribee.

Regards Cazzesman
