More positive press, this time from the HS  and perhaps all these threads should be merged into one thread.

Ticker, brains make day for Koutoufides

Fevola inspires Blues.

Carrazzo made of right stuff.

I liked the bit in the second article where they said Murph had the vision of a 100 game player :-D

Beautiful sight. Monday papers with Carlton Good News stories. A bit of normality returning to the football community. Right where we should be. A complete 360 on the pre season.

The Carlton sponsors will see true value in sponsoring the Old Dark Navy Blues.

I am so happy............................I'm excited!!

There must be another 200,000 happy people in Australia today....and another 200,000 in the next few days.

Roll up, roll up, roll up....come and buy your membership.

Roll up, Roll up, Roll up...put your sponsorship dollar to good use.

Go Blues

Blues' win was a membership winner, too

Quote:
by the finish of the match, not only had 275 new Carlton fans signed up at the club's Telstra Dome booths, but by midnight that night, 70 more supporters had joined via the internet. And since then, more staff have been brought in to handle the Princes Park phones as the numbers surge towards the 22,000 mark, still way short of the 2005 figure but at least heading that way.

really they need a contingency plan for the booths at the ground.
I couldn't believe after the game there was no -one ready to sign up more members (remeber, it was an away game) or sell merchandise.....

I realise it's a late night and all...butb you have to strike while the irons hot!

Didn't think this comment was worth a new thread so am jumping in here instead.

The conspiracy theorist in me has noted with interest that Carlton is only receiving the barest of reporting from the Hun at the moment.

Is there something in this 'exclusive Age articles' v Herald Sun v CFC that seems to have been swept under the carpet? What IS happening? It seemed a big deal when it surfaced (was it around the AGM?)

Bloody Herald Sun spoiling my 'arrive at work at 9am to allow an hour to read the papers' routine

Don't know any of the details and only heard rumours like everyone else, but sounded like the club entered into an 'exclusivity' agreement with The Age (in effect freezing the Hun out somewhat). The Hun found out about it and basically said to the club that their articles about the club would be more neagtive (than usual).

The Hun is like paying a $1 or whatever for MX - the Hun was negative towards us anyway!

Just went up to $1.10. You can read most of the articles on the net for nothing anyway (not that there's much worth reading).
