Who was he -? Whats he all about - Does anyone remember him? He doesn't even have wiki in the Blueseum but he does have a premiership medal?

Andy Lukamitis later changed his name to Andy Lukas. He was was your rover type back in the early 70's and I think ended up at Fitzroy.

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... +Lukimitis

Known as both names, is Lukimitis in the Blueseum. Nothing in that page yet anyone with memories of him as a player go for it and add some content.

Came from St. Marks, Fawkner/U19s

Wore number 49 then number 7. 34 games, 3 goals from 1970-73 mostly from the half back flank.

Named as the 19th man in the 1972 GF.

Took on the number 7 when Hopkins went bush. Picked up about 8 touches in the GF.

I vaguely remember seeing him play , to Requote Jack Dyer " He was an ordinary ordinary player". A fringe player who never got a regular game.

He had a similar head to Curly Austin.Same frizzy hair.Similar player to Curly, but a tad less ability.A premiership player never the less.Reckon he should have had a few more games with us IMHO.We were very strong in those days, and it was hard to pin down a regular gig.
