I noticed last night that in the midfield, when a Kangas player went off, their direct Carlton opponent went off with them. I heard this tactic was used against West Coast. It seems to work as we were probably the better team in the midfield last night and we really did well in the middle against West Coast.

Is it good for the development of the team and should it be used often?

I remember when Mathew Hogg followed Garry Hocking to the bench in the 1995 Grand Final

It at least teaches about proper rotations, but who is it teaching?

It's good in some circumstances I guess.

There were a lot of unorganised rotations that almost lead to having 19 men on the field.
