simpson is a real afl player, would get a game in almost any side. terrific, works hard.

murphy - give him the rising start now

I like the way Simpson plays as well!
He rarely kicks short; he backs himself regularly with his consistent runs and puts pressure on the oppositions defence!

don't want to read any of the negative stuff around the site (although i can understand people being disapointed).

but i really enjoyed that game, sure we got overrun by a more experienced side in the last ten minutes again but all the guys put in and there were plenty of gratifying moments throughout the game. the first half was the FEV show. by god he is entertaining to watch when on song.

NEVER get rid of this lad. then in the third he kicked two jems.

his 5th got me out of my seat.
that goal of murphy was fantastic.

blackers goal was ALL CLASS! you can't teach that! loved his game.
you will be a 200 game player for us blackers. i'm a huge fan already.

russell showed glimpses and didn't make any huge blunders that i could see.

eddie was eddie, he busts his guts every game. took some massive hits and bounced straight back up. good effort little fella. love watching him play.

i'm in a pretty good mood, i know we are low at the moment but the wheel is slowly turning, and the end of the tunnel is starting to appear.

this kids are providing genuine hope

Murphy excellent,
Blackwell , touch of class
Thought Bannister was good and deserves to be perservered with
Love Teague's courage but he's two metres slower than the game and has probably played his last game for the Blues
Fev was great, not sure if there was much point risking him in the 2nd half
ADL was abysmal in the first half, but in the second half, partly because of Fev's injury, the MC used his strengths - ie he is very mobile for a big man and works quite well on the lead from Full forward. But he can't take a pack mark and can't out strength his opponents, so lets use his strengths if he is going to play. Pity it took Fev's injury to force the MC into using ADL in a way that makes him effective rather than ineffective.
Simmo is great and Eddie Betts chasing/harassing is fantastic - don't care if he doesn't get a kick if he plays like that.
We badly need a ruckman who can get the ball around the ground
Carazzo has great hands, never looked like fumbling a mark
I actually felt positive after the game and feel that we are actually improving. Certainly North are heading the other way. When Simpson, Harvey and Grant start to slip their side will be cactus.
We just need to elimate silly errors - Jordan R taking his eyes off the ball, and fumbling - North goal; Wiggo slinging Sinclair after he got rid of the ball, rushed forward, North goal, AB taking ages to kick, called to play on, doing a long, hurried 'pass' straight across ground to North...if we can eliminate thses mistakes we will improve. I think we might take a few steps forward next year.

Will love to compare the careers of Pick Number 1 in the 2002 draft and Pick Number 45 in the 2002 draft after they both hang up their boots.

Positive, the team is actually playing some entertaining football. Compare Friday nights game and a fortnight ago with that against St.Kilda and Port Adelaide...
