I don't get it !!!!
Everyone bags Pagan, but when push comes to shove and we can potentially make a difference, no one wants to put their hand up.
I understand that this would potentially be bad publicity for the club but my answer to that is... short term pain, long term gain !
There are very few people who can make an educated (factual ) assesment on where Pagan is at in terms of his coaching of the blues.
A few may know players who say he is shit, there are the hardcore numbers (winning percentage), there is his recruitment record, and his development of young guys.
He has certainly let himself down in terms of recruiting Mick Martyn, Ricky Mott, Jason Saddington, Callum Chambers, Troy Longmuir, and Daniel Harford.
Perhaps that was his choice, perhaps he was unwisely guided too recycle players.
The two shining lights in his development process has been Fevola and Blacwkell in my opinion.
Of his recyled players i would say Scotland is the best.
Who is to say someone would have done better? Or worse? That's subjective.
His game plan could be scrutinised, but does he have the players?
Lets put it this way, what would people's views be if he could be paid out no questions asked? Probably let him go.
For now he needs too stay put, unless a financial backer comes through and offers an alternative.
Many say he still is good.
Having said that I think the club could be more insistent on him getting his mug on TV shows and selling the club and the upcoming draft a bit more.
Think blackwell was always going to be a gun - averaged close around mid 20s touches prior to being drafted- both in under 18 comp, reserves and senior WAFL matches.
