No. It demeans the position. It's an privledged position that's earned out of respect and should not be handed out willy-nilly like lollies.

Not a fan of captaincy rotation.

I think Lance should be made captain for 2 to 3 years until one of Murphy, Walker, Gibbs(?) is ready.

A bit like Hawthorn and Vandenberg while they wait for Hodge to be ready (although Lance is a much better leader than Richie).
