What did the advertisment say for this luncheon? I haven't seen anything relevant to it. VIP only?

I MAINLY GET ON THIS SITE TO SEE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THE MINDS OF CARLTON SUPPORTERS AND ALL I FIND IS IS NEGATIVITY TO MAMMOTH PROPORTIONS WHICH ARE DEPRESSING AND MOST OF THE POSTS ON HERE ARE FROM PEOPLE ( WHICH I VERY MUCH DOUBT ARE TRUE SUPPORTERS ) THAT ARE POOR SORRY EXCUSES FOR CARLTON SUPPORTERS. SHIT I AM IN PAIN WITH WHAT IS HAPPENING AND IT HURTS BUT WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK AND STOP POSTING UTTER CRAP , PLEASE GO TO THE ST KILDA WEBSITE OR SOMEWHERE ELSE.HOW ABOUT WE GET POSITIVE AND STOP BEING A BUNCH OF WANKERS.

Yes, I'm sure you're a far better Carlton supporter than the rest of us Spider.

Take your medication and have a lay down.

now spider I am sure many oif us here love this club and I am certain some of us are positive but not everything the club does it does well - today's luncheon was an example of what it does poorly.

Now stop yelling like a spoiled brat, take a deep breath and relax.

Spoilt brat ( Very appropriate )

All i am saying is we seem to be very negative whatever the club tries to do. I seems what ever we do as a club we start with a negative comment we did not do this we did not do that. At least they are trying to do something for our supporters as much as we maybe incompetent at times. These people give up their time on a voluntary basis and we will not get anyone on to the board or challenge the board until we are successful again because they will not do the hard yards like smorgon and co Maclure is a perfect example of a former champion who would not join the board because it was all to hard.

What's wrong with justified criticism? If the Board are working to get rid of Pagan, then good on them. That's a POSITIVE.

But when the way the club is marketed is held as a positive, then you've got to have rocks or worse in your head because if that's the way the lunch is marketed and Pagan does that, then IMO that's unacceptable. If part of his job is marketing, he does a terrible job of that. He doesn't tell us about the kids, Pagan of all people never tells us about the positives. He trots out the same old crap each week. Tells us we're butchering our disposal - and what does he do about it? Who knows?

Supporting does not mean backing everything the club does, to do that is stupid and almost cost us the club. Did you back Elliott by any chance?

What are you on about?
Its got nothing to do with the board. :?

A man who is paid $14,000.00 per week of our money couldnt be bothered giving 10 minutes of his time to supporters who paid for the privelege.

One week we have our captain negotiating through the media, then we have our coach disputing "marketing money". He gets a chance to show his marketing ability to the faithful, talk excitedly about our future prospects, all the good work he's done this year  the talent in the draft, but he gives 5 minutes which probably covered the following topics:

- butchering the ball
- 3 years into a 5 year sentence
- labour pains
- pissing down his neck

He's also taken on Ron Joseph as a manager who isn't much better than David Allison.

Maybe Pagan gave us $0 worth of nothing because he believes he has received $0 worth of his marketing component.

Pagan has a big ego, an ego that it is haemoraging (sp?). He is under the pump big time, the walls are closing in and he don't like it one little bit. It's not supposed to have panned out this way. You know he has won many flags at U19, Reserves and Senior level.

The poker player has run out of aces and their ain't any along Royal Parade because he and his lieutenants have looked already!

Again- if you dont like my posts, dont read em.
People with agenda's will always put their own spin on things irrespective of the truth. Some simply believe what they want to believe. You may have actually chatted to the player but they'd know better. Of course, if it were them getting the same info you did they break the keyboard down posting the same thing you did without mentioning the players's name. That's how life goes.
