winning a best and fairest doesn't automatically get you the "good player" tag for your whole career....but even Teague and McKernan were good in the years they won it...Lance got it in our last season...regardless of our so called lack of talent he was up against...he was still a good player this season.

anyway we can go back and forwards till we win our next premiership but what will it prove...each to their own.

hhhmmmpppph. look at that, all those lazy F@%&#! are retired too!! point proved synbad

yeah but they won them when we were a good side except mckay who won it when Kouta and Lance was still at the club and played his last year before retiring and still won it...

Yep you proved a point... alright..

But isnt it weird how people judge excellence.

Putting Lance up there with the aformentioned???

Good one...

Ive outlined Lances problems... they cant be fixed... hes like a football version of Joe the cameraman... cant run cant jump cant be a frontliner...

Captain???

Funny....

He might be captain and he will star every bit as much as he did when he was captain this year...

The reason why Lance does ok playing the nothing loose man in defence role is because noone takes us seriously enough to tighten up on him.

cmon he did play a couple of awesome games man on man....one against Barry Hall....he did get beat a few times but so do many defenders...fair enough he does often play the loose man but is that up to him where he plays...

Yeah was that in the rain????

also he was an inspiration when he did get to lead the team wasnt he???
I mean we got a glimpse at his awesome leadership material when he captained in Koutas absence.

Just showed us he had it right???

Walk up start for captain...

Like i said he might and probably will be captain... and boy will that be a mistake. after all he will have to prove he is a frontliner ... like he did this year.

What we should do is have him part of a rotation including stevens and and a couple of kids and still maybe fev.. so there is no pressure on any of them.. and hope one or two of the kids will emerge as a clearcut leader and allow them to get a taste of leading.

Making Lance captain is stupidity at its worst...

I think Lance being captain is just about a sure thing but I'd rather Stevo get it though.

Lucas was in the rain, then he got his pants pulled down on a dry track. He's a forward not a defender.

And most of those were on Lance.

Thornton was on Hall, until Thornton was moved to O'Loughlin - Saddington was being thrashed by MickeyO.

Your point?

As you well know, stats can be interpreted anyway you like. But if you watched that game you'd know that Lance did well on Hall. There are better defenders than Lance that got towelled up by Hall this year and over their careers.

So glad that Fevola is getting support, especially in relation to his interpretation of events.

I cant wait until a new board. I dislike the AFL so much.

It's pretty hard winning a B & F when you only play 12 games for the season - even for Lance.

Don't ya reckon Synbad?

I reckon 201 games at 27 YO pretty much means he will be remembered as a club champ, so get used to it  .

Thornton asked for a trade and you would give him the captaincy???

i do agree with Scotland though.....could be a dark horse.

Yeh,so what,it was his manager doing what is best for him, like anyone would, especially getting that disrespectable offer from the Club and then the club recruited a proven hax for that amount he wanted.Lance Whitnall is slow and i be suprised if he is still in the club in 3 years time.

QFT a fitting captain

The only running he does is to Mcdonalds.

He might be a club champ but we dont need a club champ that cant run.. jump.. chase or be a front liner... just goes to show where were at...
