He's got elite talent and can run and use the ball well (and is) a midfielder, utility, half-back," Pagan said yesterday.

"We've been mindful we didn't push him too early. He's done a lot of good things in our VFL team and probably of all the kids and young footballers I've been involved in, he is one who has come to the club and really made a focus of defending his opponent from the start.


"Most young boys, it is all about attack, attack, attack, and I think it is a real plus."

I think development and promotion takes care of itself. The most important thing we can do is, not only for our supporters and the club but the players themselves, it would do wonders for their psyche if we could get over the line and build on something like that."
