Fevola needs a week off to get his groin/head in order.
Houla looked a bit proppy too.

Diggers HAS to come in and to be played in the forward line whether Fev is there or not. If he's kciking bags in the VFL he needs to be tried up forward for us - the guy probably has 7 weeks left in his career, but has a slight chance of turning it around if given the opportunity to show himself.

Can't see us dropping Prenda unless French was coming back.

How long before Hartlett get a go? Would be a better selection than Morrell, but Morrell would ensure we get the 1st pick in the draft.

A while yet I think. Adam has only been playing in the 2's for the bullants to get his fitness up. I think he'd be a long shot to debut for Carlton before seasons end.

Is Fisher ready???

I would be playing both Fisher and Betts in the Ants for a few more weeks. Eddie needs more time there to get the feel of the footy because playing in our forward line he doesn't get much opportunity.

As for Fisher - this guy has barely played senior football in two years. Give him some time.

Fisher played all game on the wing last weekend in the 2's; running from end to end. His fitness looks great, even though he's a bit rsuty with his marking.

I'd have him in for 2 non-player reasons; 1) marketing - the kids love Fish and 2) welcome back from a long injury may lift the boys.

Given where we're at I'd much rather be playing younger players who've shown something than a semi-defensive retread.

In: Fisher, Betts
Our: Johnson, Longmuir

God I wish we had another big guy somewhere out there

Agree with your outs Molsey, if we are going to play these two.

I still think we need to strengthen our defence. We are getting smashed there each week for being too small. I wasn't surprised at all that St Kilda brought in Blake at the last minute to allow Ackland and Kosi to spend time up forward. It happens every week!

Morrell or Norman needs to come in

He's missed less than 12 months Pickle.

In Bannister, Sporn, Chambers, Clarke, Morrell
Out: Simmo, Carrazzo, Stevens, Lappin, Walker

Can't afford these guys to be playing well, we might actually win

On a serious note:

In: Fisher and Betts
Out: Longmuir, McGrath

We actually play 3 quarters of competitive football as compared to 2. The end result we might scrape a win or at the very least not get pumped but accept a "respectable loss "

Players added to the squad to assist with this might include Fish Morrell Betts and Bannister at the expense of Fev who might be out injured and some others who might not like playing in the cold wet windy conditions.

Yeah !!! :D  :D  :D

Backline isn't the problem. Could bring back Silvagni, Dean and Sexton we're still going to get smashed because of the quantity/quality of ball coming in there because the midfield is a joke.

Fix the midfield and the backline will do fine.

Couldn't do any worse, hell they might even be competitive.

Wouldn't mind seeing the hardcore investigative type dude working up some form of comparison between the two sides. For once it may not be so fanciful to say that the seconds might beat the firsts in a competitive game
