Only if he signed end of last year. There's no way he's on a 3 year deal.

Actually, just thinking about that - recruited in 02 for a 2 year minimum which would have been up end of 04, right?

That means he would have either signed a 1 year deal - for this year, or 2 years to the end 06.

Hmmmmmm, would love to know details.

I have asked that before budsy and still am none the wiser. He was recruited in 2002 and given a 2 year deal like most 1st time recruits. Last year he would've had his contract renewed otherwise he wouldn't be there now. Was this a one year extension or a two year? Contracts don't necessarily preclude a delisting but it would be interesting to know.

I don't think this is about Norman's attitude as such, or the fact he is out having a good time. I certainly don't criticise him for having fun as a 22 year old. It is more about the clubs attitude towards him. We have been screaming out for a tall defender for most of the year and the one obvious substitute as been overlooked with monotonous regularity. It is baffling! :?

I think Norman as been pretty good with the Ants, not spectacular, but pretty good. Rarely beaten. I think he could push himself a little harder given he can't crack a senior gig. Yeah he got beaten that day by Tarrant. It was 36 bloody degrees and the pies ran all over us in the 2nd half. He got beat, but so did 21 others. They were astonishingly accurate that day (15.0 after half time!).

My heart wants him to stay, my head accepts that his fate appears to be already determined unfortunately... :(

He should be dominating at the VFL level. He is not that young at 22. Not a first year drafted player.
He is older than Fisher and Thornton so cant use his age as a factor.
I would prefer him to stay but can understand if the club feels his attitude is a problem.
Perhaps a chance another club might take a chance and pick him up. Sheedy loves these types of troubled blokes and to prove he can turn it around.

It's n to his form in the VFL that's holding him back from senior selection.
His exploits off the field outweigh all his achievements on the field. That's what really p*sses me off about Karl.

I think I'd be physically sick if Essendon* picked him up and straightened him out into a good player. I feel ill just typing this.

I get your point Budzy but if we can get a 3rd or 4th round draft pick or package him up with another player then why not?
I dont care how Essendon* go or any other club. I just want the Blues to not be like this.
I dont want to sling mud at any other club. Just want the Blues to get some more talent and start moving forward.
There will be plenty of time to pay back all those other clubs when we dominate again. I just want the club to build slowly for sustained success. Not to keep wallowing down at the bottom.

NO MORE SPOONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
