Abaddon rarely writes anything more than 5 lines long. His/her posts are rarely well argued, they simply assert.

Put some effort in and at least argue your position.

Ease up!

Come on, don't take my words out of context. According to Abbadon, those are the atrocities that Denis is responsible for...

Well, I know YOU know what a thylacine is, Tommi, but I wanted to make sure that it was understandable to the less-educated ones who visit (ie: Collingwood and Essendon* supporters)

What about the Bozos around Linton Street. You would need to send a memo to their "Educational Services" department.

If you think that Pagan is beyond reproach.........well you are all kidding yourselves. Allowing for the the weak list, squad attiutudal problems, etc. Pagan still needs to review his approach and assess how he has fared in his role as senior coach and look at improving his methods.

I'm glad we have him BUT he would be the first to admit that he has made mistakes and may have handled certain events a little better. Every coach in the AFL is in the same boat. Pagan is no different.

Ps Abaddon has a view a differing view just like every other poster who are self confessed dinky di Pagan lovers, have differing views.

Spot on Rod. DP is with us for 3 more years, but just saying we have a crap list so he has no responsibility for performance is ridiculous. We don't have any discernible game day strategies, the players are playing with little heart or desire, our skills seem to be getting worse not better. Sure the players have responsibility for this but so does the coach. Does DP get any credit for flags at North, or was that all the players doing? He can take some responsibility for the woeful performance of the team this year. And for god's sake someone force him to shed his sycophantic sidekicks and get some new young innovative assistants.

No, Denis isn't above reproach, nor entirely blameless. However, we need to wait until we have a better, slightly older playing list until we lay the majority of criticism at him, or accuse him of having "lost the players", as Abbadon likes to say every other post.

I guess my original point was how much of our current situation rests with the coach.

Are the players disinterested? Are there personnel problems or problems between the Coach/players.

When we cleared the last time we got rid of some players who did not want to play for the jumper, do we have to do that again? And if so, why didn't they go the first time. Doesn't their presence just infect the kids?

Just reading all I can about the matter there tends to be a theme of a very poor game plan relying on too few to do too much and our leaders not leading.

It seems even our champion players are having a bad year, why is that?
