Having watched it I really liked Harmes game.
The Commentary team wet themselves anytime it went near Bartlett, but Harmes not only shut him out, but provided a constant third-man across the back line.

Either Johnno or Fitzy (fantastic at CHF) for mine. Rioli winning that NS medal is one of the greatest jokes of all time.

From a Carlton perspective - The Sun newspaper gave equal top votes for
Johnston and
Fitzpatrick..

Even the lesser known players did well at critical moments though..cliche but it was a team effort. Bortolotto was great on Cloke and Wow Jones helped to take apart 1980 Grand Final champ for Richmond Mark Lee.

If you ask me though (i am biased as I am a Harmes fan) but I would have given it to Wayne Harmes.

If without bias I would have given it to Wayne Johnston.
