Can't wait to see Hendo in action, still can't believe we managed to snare him in the Fev trade. :smoking:

:? :? bulked up,must of seen something i have missed, garlett has bigger arms than Hendo atm..
was a training/weights session last friday and had a chat with the big man himself, has a slight strain to his knee, was limping and
is on quarterzone atm,but the old cliche was said to me....(I'll be right for round one)..lets hope hey..
Really needs to bulk up his upper body for a role down the forward line..
will find it hard against the big defenders, really needs to pump those weights in our new facility down at Royal Parade..

You are joking right??

   ah no i'm not joking...you must have seen one of the actual Henderson Kids not lachie.
no muscle at all for a big man or boy..maybe go down to training and have a look, even my 7 year old son noticed that..!
hopefully he's stronger than he looks..I look at a team like Adelaide, and everyone down to a kid called Dangerfield has great body size with great muscle defenition,no wonder they are successful year after year..I just want our boys to match it strength for strength on a consistant basis against stronger opposition, and if Hendo is gonna play down there as a KPP he MUST get bigger...!!

I heard the Riley interview too.

On Henderson, I wasn't 100% convinced all is swell.

It wasn't like "Ah, no worries, just a niggle, he will be fine for sure"

There was a cloud of doubt over his response to the Hendo Qn - actually made me think "Um, don't the Docs know what the deal is with the kid??"

Fingers crossed folks

He has history with knee problems and i doubt the club had any time to do a medical on him with it being a last minute deal.

I am sure they will be able to get Hendersons knee right. Could be a nagging patella issue which work themselves out over time or a quick op can fix it. Could be a stained ligament that takes 6 -10 weeks to come right.

At worse he wont play the first chunk of this season.

Just turned 20 and he will get bigger...no doubt about that...but I actually think he's not a bad size right now. If you think he has 'no muscle at all' I wonder if in fact you were looking at Henderson.

He'd easily be in the mid-90s, and that's fine for him to play a bit part role in our forward-line. No one's asking him to be the focal point: that's Waite's job.

He looks pretty solid to me....

Lets not forget he's 197cm tall and just 20 years of age.....At this rate he will be our very own Gorilla

Gartlett has to run around in the shower to get wet!

The more defined you are the bigger you look, it's an illusion.

im tipping he's round the 98 to 100kg mark, saw a picture of him about 3 months ago standing next to j brown and they looked the same size. he's not gonna get pushed around by anything less than a sasquatch or aaron sandilands

And Clark is no lightweight...

Hampson needs a set of pins that big to hold his position in marking and ruck contests.

i told usually listen to ox and leach (can't stand the ox) and would be interested to know if adelaide and brisbane also sent out an assistant to field the queries or whether their head coach handled the interview. i do know that the lions told SEN that they have set themselves for a top 4 spot so reckon voss was at the helm there ...

Ratts was on 3AW Sports Today (after 7.00pm) - didnt hear much of it was coming home from cricket practise. So obviously our media department sent our first string (Ratts) to deal with Dwayne Russell  and our second string (Riley) to deal with Ox and Leach.

I heard the Ratts interview except for the first couple of minutes.
Things he said were;
Best pre season they have had since he came back.
Quizzed about forward structure and said looking at options including ruckmen going down forward and mentioned Garlett and Yarran.
Said membership was up about 1,000 on last year.
There is a special training session next Saturday 30th that the club has called super Saturday, memberships will be on sale along with merchandise. There is something on the club website about it, or on an email. cant remember which.
Said Waite will be used as a swing man again both forward and back.
Cant remember what else was said, he spoke well and Gerard and Dwayne didnt give him too hard a time over the booze cruise.

Two other points which MR touched on in his interview:

-When pre-season started Waite was said to be ready round 11.. then it was 7.. now it is ready for round 1. Said he is training very well and involved in full training. Also said that he will play forward and he thinks could kick 40-50 goals.

- Jordan Russel is his pick for most improved.. said he was flying (Talking Carlton may become vvvvvvvverrrrryyyyyyy quiet this year if he keeps improving!!!)

Jordan Russel has been most improved for 5 years
