Guys and Gals,

Great couple of articles in the Herald Sun today. One of them quotes Gibbs Sr as saying "Bryce is a one club person"

Great article.
Also great to know that Essendon* have rated Gibbs as the stand out player of the draft

I like his old mans thinking. The support he can give his son will be fantastic. The attitude speaks volumes as does sticks comment about hoping he will be with us.

Interesting to see the Adelaide paper duplicated the article so that the paper would be bigger than three pages today.

I reckon it sucks that the Bombers have rated Gibbs. With their record on early draft picks, which would have to be worse than ours, it seems like a bit of a kiss of death to me. :P

i wouldn't worry too much about it camel ... whichever timid kid they pick, they will proclaim as 'best in draft' anyways...

I must say that I have been worried about the "gome home" factor regarding Gibbs. After reading that article I feel quite relieved.

You can rest assured Camel, no matter who the bummers choose with their number 2 they will talk him up spin him into the greatest prospect since Bobby Skilton escaped from the chimp enclosure at Royal Park Zoo.

Well its good to see the boy brushes his teeth well. Nice pearly whites for all the TV interview he is about to front up for.

The double page lift out on Gibbs in the HUN is now stuck to my bedroom wall.

Such a good article.

Loved the bit where a Port Adelaide bloke roughed him up a bit and the other Glenelg boys wanted to pay the bloke back. But Gibbs just told them not to worry about it and get on with the game.

Leadership.

Right there.

All of this reminds me of the 1990 Draft when Jason McCartney was all the rage to be taken at No.2 by us; as Geelong had "secured"Steven Hooper at No.1 pick ....(WHO?)

For a month before; all the talk was about Jason and Carlton being as thick as thieves up in Nhill; and how Jason was rapt to be going to PP.

Come the Draft; and we took James Cook from Tassie in the shock of the Draft!.....Jason went to Collingwood who were rapt.

It was a very ordinary draft though....we also picked up Damien Hampson at Pick 7; and of the rest....

The Eagles picked Matt Clape at 9 and Richmond grabbed Nick Daffy at 49.

Why is there nothing in the HUN on their website?

There was also an article on Tomi Johnston in "Punchlines". Talks of his love for the Blues and what inspires him to want to play, namely the death of his twin brother as a result of heart attacks brought on by asthma.

Strange though that he already has a manager
