what do people think about t-lo's last month of footy and the worth that he brings to our forward line.

personally id love to see him be kept and persisted with as he gives us with another marking option and more so a quality crummer around goal.

I'd like to see him have an injury free pre-season and be given a decent crack next year. He's been pretty decent the last few weeks.

He has some areas that need a lot of work - defensive game, keeping his feet, 4 quarters of intensity.
Denis was very glowing in his appraisal of him on SEN this morning so you'd think he'll be at Carlton next year. I don't know how much concession should be allowed for Troy considering he virtually had zero pre-season and is recovering from OP and groin surgery. If he gets a full pre-season under his belt we should be able to determine next year exactly how valuable he is to Carlton.

I like him but he is a liability on the ground when he goes missing and doesn't compete.

hate the way he plays footy.

he is one of those blokes that sticks his hands into a cpontest rather than his body and when he has body on body contact falls to ground.

still who am i to judge. 8)

I only have one problem with him and that is he plays from behind too much. I know he can take a great grab but if you are in the forward line you need more stings to your bow than taking a big mark.

Seems to be going okay at the mo, but yet to be convinced. He seems to easily pushed aside and too small for a key possie and too slow for a medium forward. He's a Waite/Fisher type but nowhere near as good. Goes to ground to much as others have said. Also goes to ground deliberately - ie slides on one knee to pick up ball. If I had my druthers, I would have liked to see Setanta in TLos spot, but as he's not on the primary list it's not an option. Hopefully over the next four weeks everyone can get a go.

He creates a contest.
Unlike Lance or Fev, he is rarely outmarked and crashes the packs to create opportunities for Eddie.
With Fish and Troy up forward, we can kick the ball in long and know we have players who can take a grab.
He also averages 3 tackles per game from limited gametime which indicates a willingness to apply forwardline pressure.
Something else Lance doesnt offer.

He's got talent, and we have seen one side only of that.He can also play halfback quite well and is also handy in the midfield.A pretty good allround package i would suggest.

I am loving, Fisher, T-Lo, Fev and the elsive Betts on our forward line at the moment. Anything seems possible.

I really hope he "makes" it. Had a chance to have a long chat with him over dinner at a club function. Really nice person with a good attitude.

I'm with you on this one, Mickstar. I'd actually like them to give him a run in these positions at senior level, when it's not working for him up forward. Perhaps his lack of fitness has been the issue.

If Lappin does end up going, I think Longmuir could end up playing a very similar role for us.

I've been on the T-Lo bandwagon for a long time. He can do the freakish. Hopefully with a bit of fitness up he will be able to contribute for a full game.

He's another who has to go, we don't have the capacity to carry players who flash in for a quarter and then disappear for the remainder of the game.

Won't be part of our next premiership team so let's not persist with him at the expense of someone who will.

Bloody hell Sheik should we keep anyone?

The guy had no pre-season, I don't see how people can't give him the benefit of any doubt at worst and see how he goes next year with what hopefully will be an injury-free pre-season.

Aaah, to be brutally honest, no.

We have to turn that list over completely and inject some talented youth into it who want to play for the jumper, not the pay cheque.

You talk of talent Sheik and our need to inject talent into the sqad, but T-Lo is one who certainly has talent. There may be some areas of his game he may need to work on, but there is plenty of talent to work with.

You say he may not be in our next premiership side, but i would suggest you may have thought the same about Clape, Pierce and possibly Spalding if you took them in isolation.
