The best part of the game is Wayne Carey, he's talking some of the boys up and seems to genuinely want them to do well.

yep.

It's overdue for us to make an official submission to the AFL.

If you want an answer as to why he gets frustrated, watch a replay of todays game. Even Carey said that the umpires are clearly victimising him.

I, for one, am f*cking jack of it.

And in the papers tomorrow it'll be tissues and vaseline for everyone over Parker's game on him despite the fact that the only thing hanging onto Fev tighter during the match was his own scrotum.

outstanding effort from Fisher........with nice cameo from Simpson

the defensive efforts of Stevens and Camporeale are bloody awful though - 5 goals kicked against them.

Most unaccountable midfield in the history of football.

They make our 92-97 midfield with Williams, Bradley, Brown look accountable. Difference was they could win the ball.

the lack of midfield pressure is too painful to watch,

who the %$%^ is Crowley?

I want to play Devil's Advocate a little here:

I don't think we should complain about the treatment we get from the umps. What's the point this year? Our year is shot.

Wait until the START of next season, and 1) hopefully Giesch will be consigned to the toilet his career deserves, and 2) present a year's worth of flower by the umps and Demand that it not happen next season.

Has he always loved himself this much? Looks as though he's learned the "How good am I" goal celebration from Farmer.

How's Lappin been? Hasn't featured much in the call.

Now I dont think that Freo are the measuring stick of the competition but the younger players are showing the way today, and if this is a sign of Carlton it its darkest era, then there is certainly promise for the supporters moving forward.

The group of players to build around moving forward have to be Waite, Fisher, Simpson, Carrazzo, Walker and Thornton. Fevola, Stevens, Scotland, French and Teague have to be the senior guidance lead the way into the future.

The rest, both young, old, untried, those who will stay at the club after this year, or those to be brought into the club, need to get on board and fill either the future way forward or be a senior mentor for several.

There's more promising youngsters in the VFL but you'd say based on senior appearances this year, the half-dozen named above have to continue kick starting that process.

Freo stopped in the last 1/4 but the boys did put in a much better effort.
Scotland had 1000 touches, Fisher was good, Simmo good.

Fisher, Carrazzo, Waite, Simpson and Bryan all played very well. Good signs from the young blokes. Simmo kicked 3 again and Fisher could've ended up with 5 but what a return!

Dissapointing we lost, but a lot of good signs came out of todays game.
