Agree some of his kicks were very ordinary but he was not alone. There were a lot of clanger kicks from both sides. His disposal efficiency was still 80% for 30 odd possessions.

Even one of our fittest guys, can’t do so much running and be expected to kick perfectly every time.

Honestly you guys can’t be serious
Cripps has been saying that for ever and a day.
Any mention about the game plan
How we exit d 50
How we lost inside 50 s by 16 to a poor team
Stick fat fellas
That is meaningless
Every team does that
Trying is the bare minimum
And it’s bullshit anyway when the new CEO goes behind the coaches back the year before to try and get McCrae
You guys are very easily satisfied

Alot of posters running with the 'if Lynch kicked straight we lose' argument.
My opinion, if fog and cripps kick the easy ones it never gets that close.
Some of Lynches shots were from low percentage areas.

Also the Lynch block free kick was soft, the steely green dive goal was rubbish.

A bit of luck both ways but they won.

Take it and move on. Somehow muster up a four quarter effort against the dees and then its north.

Confidence and a couple of speedsters to come in and who knows

Watch the interview on mmm last night
He says he didn’t approach McCrae but 70% of communication between adults is body language and tone of voice
Clearly it happened
You can call Caroline Wilson and co liars
That’s pick and choose too
Wright is an excellent list manager and footy head
But he hasn’t made a great start here

If you’re a footy lover, particularly a Carlton fan, Melbourne is the place to be.

Local coffee shop, miles away from Lyon st, there’s Carlton podcasters in one corner, Harry McKay outside, wall to wall, table to table littered with highly energised coffee drinking Carlton and Richmond supporters.

There’s nothing wrong with being positive, taking the positives and having a laugh.

How good was Richmond’s set up to move the ball from end to end had much to do with their set up. We weren’t set up do do that, so what were we set up to do? Zone defense.

That’s not an attacking mindset, nor is kicking it down the line. Are we capable of running the ball, keeping possession, lowering the eyes, and hitting targets for a shot to goal?

Like last week, our first half saw us running the ball through the midfield group, lowering the eyes, hitting targets, connecting with high HFs, and the 15 F50 entries for 6 goals in the first says we can, but the contrast in the 2nd half takes me back to the last 2 years featuring 2 nd half fade outs and bombing down the line.

I don’t think our players are spent playing contested play. I think the zone set up needs tweaking and when ball is in hand of opposition, need to close down space and focus more on one on one’s.

Fogarty miss is a team killer. Happened last year. He looked to have turned the corner over the preseason, but what I saw is proof he’s not AFL standard. There’s a few selected not quite AFL ready, and Lewis Young is another. Having said that, I am happy to give credit where credit is due, and if not for Lewis Young’s mark in front of Lynch with 2 minutes left on clock was a game saving mark. If he didn’t……

clearly!!!! yep, clearly it happened. speak with most of footy jounnos and they will acknowledge they are paid to create a story.....in other words sensationalise. good luck with hanging your credibility on Caro.....I know you are better than that.

and Wright hasnt made a great start?.....I am happy with our additional investments in development coaches, in Chris Davies, Travis Boak, Adam Simpson, offloading players that like to whinge.

Caroline Wilson!!!!
She gets most things wrong.

Body language, tone????
You’re reading into things too much.

Round 1, and Wright is in your firing line
Wright got rid of the disrupters.
Added some skill and run at minimal cost.
Filled of next 3 Trade years with first rounders
Salary Caps have increased and will continue to rise
We will add more speed into our midfield group, Walker
We have ample space in our salary cap
Tassie is coming and Austin has banked youth.
…and after a win, you are lining up Wright?
There’s 22 more games to play

Enjoy the wins.

We are far too stagnant when we have the ball. I watch a lot of Lions games (jammed down our necks up here) and they always are on the move, there is always an option. We had guys screwing their faces pleading for an option last night. We have our feet in cement

It wasn’t just Caro
Others as well in the media
Look I like the kids we have
The sooner Ison and Byrne are in the team the better we will be
I like Wilson but he was given a one year contract
Florent gets 5
Florent is a shit kick
That’s why he was dropped last year and why Sydney gave him up for chicken feed
The game style doesn’t need tweaking
It needs a complete overhaul
And it can’t with the players we put on the park
Too many blokes who are too slow and can’t kick

Every Carlton supporter should watch the Ginnivan Mitchell video from the 18 minute mark mark
They nail the problem
In short we have dumb coaching
Players who are too slow to react
Most importantly very poor kicking skills

Agreed.

Toxic positivity in spades, especially by the elites of Talking Carlton.

Toxic positivity... what a concept! What's next, toxic love and support to your children? Toxic kindness and consideration to strangers? Toxic effort and creativity?

I’m sorry I’ve just seen Voss’ presser and his art of spinning and coming up with buzzwords has rubbed off on me.

I’ll simplify it down to one word: Delusion.

Just wait until we start winning well.

You won't hear a peep out of Keogh & Traveller.

i think the one thing that annoyed me last night was our tackling. watching tigers shrug us off all night long - a few were repeat offenders (fog, florent, ollie etc)

tackling is nothing more than desire and buying into the team. pretty worrying how many missed tackles we've put up in the first 2 weeks.
