Have heard on the grape vine (within the club) that we have cracked the 33,000 mark - in response to heavy demand - for members and seats for the last Carlton Game in round 9.

Would be great result if true - lets wait and see.

That would be good ... in a way ... hopefully we don't need a special event to continue good growth in membership sales though.

Given there is a 20 to 25% churn rate every year with memberships - I reckon you have to take the 30000+ results any way you can get them.

I have no doubt that we will head well north of 35,000+ once supporters realise how good it will be at the new MCG and Dome.

33K would be a very good result given the reaction from some supporters regarding the move from Optus.

Those "some supporters" are in the minority compared to the families of Carlton supporters who were jack of trying to get to Optus Oval on match days. As I've stated previously, I'm very confident we'll be a lot closer to 35,000 than the 30,000 that you've been predicting PJ. I know you felt a significant backlash in round 21 at Optus last year, but as I've stated before, there were thousands of supporters in favour of the move who weren't at the Dees game last year.

I think time and 2 interstate games sp early in the season are against us luca. I dont think 35000 is achievable but 2 wins on the trot and who knows. I think it may take time for peopl;e to recognise the benefits of TD/MCG v OO. We will definitely have a growing membership over the next few years. this year I would be happy to status quo

The membership tally on Carltonfc is ..............31,265 :D :D

http://carltonfc.com.au/

I would say there is probably still applications to be processed. I purchased fjanyc (my brother) an interstate membership this week as he will be on holidays here from new york during the melbourne game and heard the girl at the desk say that they are behind in the processing.

We just need a win this weekend and a few more may sign up before next friday's home game at the dome and 35K is a possibility :D :D

Wow, that's awesome news, a) the membership total and b) that fja will be here for the Melbourne game. Deserves a piece for InsideCarlton I reckon. ;)

As long as they stay ahead of the Saints bandwagon who are fudging figures with regards to their highest no. of members.

I wonder how much the television campaign has to do with it - I know I feel like running through that concrete for Denis. :)
