Can you and the captain be on the same page about game style?

Actually - I have another one. Did you see the VFL interview with Plapp at Q time yesterday where he pretty much said that it was pretty obvious what our tactics were going to be and therefore it was easy to counter them, especially as we didn't change them at all during the quarter? My question - if you aren't a 'tactics' coach yourself, being more a man manager (which is fine) then why do you surround yourself with tactical dum-dums in your assistant/development coach roles?
