BM.. you might be surprised but i really am not running for mayor of TC.....

I think that list youre talking about would be smaller than the one about "Who has laughed at BMs intellectual analysis'"

Thats a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG mo$%^&ng list.....

No need to get defensive Synbad, even if you only have an (ahem giggle, giggle) Arts Degree.

Karls has been a naughty boy again I think, besides it does not help to tell certain club officals where to go.

Not defensive Synbad, just prefer intellectual discussions/arguments as opposed to emotive ones. :-D

Found the initial post to this thread to be a tad disturbing..if the coaching staff all hold these views we will be down for a while yet.
Its real Peter Pan stuff to believe our problems are so minimal as suggested...when are we going to see some action and a united club with a plan ? I dont expect the coaching staff to bare all for some keen supporters over a friendly chat but a realistic approach rather than this sugar coated stuff would have been nice...

Yes Elwood, it would be disturbing if the match committee were of the view that our problems were only skin deep. It's almost folklore now that Parkin got the senior gig in 1991 'cos he told Elliott how he saw it. ie, our list was sh*te & don't expect a quick fix.

Despite Ockham's original post (which was a great read by the way), I still reckon Pagan & Collins, our 2 most influential men at the club are aware of where we're at & I trust them to make the hard decisions.

And on Synbad's post:
Quote:
nah its ok.. we believe ya!!!!
Dont get too sensitive...

Im sure DOA doesnt think youre a liar.....

Put your hand to your heart Synbad & tell us you weren't having a crack at Ockham's credibility. I reckon you're the one who's getting "too sensitive" - it seems as if your placing your entire existence on Lance being traded & whenever someone posts something contrary, you turn all narky.

I loved ORs post... it just goes to show what you can get fed out there....

No reflection on Ockham's quality discussion starter, but if a coach talks to a group of people you're not going to get the hardline view.

On the comments on the leadership group, I find them realistic semi-public comments, what's the coach going to say - "most weeks players under 21 are our best leaders?" It would undermine the senior players. A football club is about maintaining a level of self-belief while giving players assessments from which they can develop their own games and the team game. Tough decisions at board and MC commitee level have to follow the same line - if 2/3 senior players go there are only about four senior players left to motivate.

Most people agree we have to start with a new philosophy and virtually recruit from scratch, we just have to provide/build the right atmosphere for the younger players to develop their skills and confidence.

Ockham

Does PPB mean anything to you in relation to the meeting with the coach. If yes I was going as well but had things on. They are good though.

Synbad,

Perhaps a look in the mirror would do you good.
