He's going to have to spew it up before he can do that...

Right-oh….

who’s putting the splash on the Blues for
the flag…?

in 3 weeks…we’ve gone from 250$…to 101$….

more movement than a teenage boy watching
a netball game…

it’s as if there’s a world war and we’ve got a
young coach who isn’t expected to do much…

kindest regards tommi

That is the question.

On the 24th May they were 500:1.

Put $30 on it.

Now 100:1

Added with earlier premiership bets, when the Blues win the flag will collect almost $50K.

7 more wins and we are in with a chance

Need to win at least 6/10 from here.

12 wins needed with our percentage. So 8 of the last 10. Little margin for error.

We were the first team to win a final from 9th. Why not a premiership? Oh and the young coach and war with the Iran thing too.

Why I got so annoyed about our performance the other night is because our percentage sucks and we should be aiming to build it up as much as possible.

And that means four quarter efforts and putting the foot on the throat all game (like Freo did last weekend).

I haven't forgotten about 2022 when we fell out of the finals in the last minute on 0.6% - how many games that year did we have huge fade outs which ultimately cost us? Seems like we don't learn as a club and that's what frustrates and is a huge challenge to change for the incoming coach.

Now there's no margin for error. It's going to be hard.

We have 5 wins, so 7/10 required for 12 wins.

Getting the W against GWS would set us up for a good crack at it.

I just checked and wow I had no idea our % was that bad.

Need the five game run of 50 point wins again.

To give you an idea....I mentioned the need for percentage last week, but 4 points were more important.

Last week we needed Saints to lose by 11 goals and we win by 11 goals to be even with them.

Saints were the game before us last Sunday, and when they were winning, all I hoped for was the 4 points.

All I see in this thread is a bunch of posters who don't want Cody Walker. Am I wrong? Help me out here if so. Surely you can't have it both ways...

Tommi, with all respect, I’m a tanker.

I believed we were a good chance for the spoon with only one win, 11 on the injured list, the Elijah issue, and games vs Tigers Bumbers and West coast ahead of us. The VFL team was winning, and kids like Wilson, Byrne, Charleson, the Campos, Moir, Lord, Carroll, were playing well. It seemed inevitable we would lean on the kids to expedite their development, pand continue losing.

When the AFL announced new draft rules 2 months into the H&A they incentivised us to tank and play kids. It was our only chance to get Walker plus the ruck freak Van Hatton with our first rounder picks…plus potentially a compo pick at the end of the first round, and our 2 2nd rounders intact. Plenty of collateral to Trade to fill gaps.

Finishing higher than 14th, would see us lose the 10% discount on the cost for Walker and not guaranteed our 2 first round picks enough to draft Walker.

I was barracking for Port and North today. I don’t see spoon as a possibility any more, but I’d like us to end up bottom 3 and win games against Saints and Pies.

We can win AND draft Cody, if we conjure up another top five pick.

Next year’s draft picks are worthless on that score.
