Look! Fevola will stay IMO...
Lance has two weeks for the club to match what he wants or is out of here.. thats just about trade time.....

Problemn with whats going on is the leadership group is way too non existent.

I was a little late getting back into the room and had to stand near the door to listen.
Over my shoulder was Brendan chatting up the waitress all through SOS's speech, all of our other players were in the room listening, Brendan showed no respect for SOS, now no respect for Big Nick and he didnt know who Jezza was when he came to the club.

Brendan will never bleed for the jumper, time to go.

Players don't choose which club they go to. He used to barrack for St Kilda & was a member of their cheer squad. Why should he know anything about the history of CFC? I'm sure he could have gone elsewhere for more money last 2 contracts but chose to stick with Carlton, even though he can just as easily be traded if it suits the club.

For mine, this is the straw that broke the camels back.

Carlton doesn't need this. I think that there will be a few people around the club furious that this happened, let alone reached the press.

But, as stated earlier, it does make trading Fevola a lesser evil, doesn't it? All of these things can be used by the CFC when explaining to the supporters why our well paid, sometimes brilliant full forward was traded.

Why oh why can't we fast forward a year and potentially have next years kids to pick up from a Fevola trade? I agree with Tyrant: we're cursed.

Anyway, here are the options for mine:

Fevola to Geelong for Bartel and no.15

Fevola to West Coast for Hansen and 3rd rounder

Fevola and no.20 to West Coast for Judd

Fevola to St Kilda for Goddard and 2nd rounder

Fevola to Hawthorn for no.6 and 2nd rounder

Fevola to Western Bulldogs for Griffen

Being optimistic, perhaps. Maybe every single one of these trades is unreasonable. However, shows that I think that we can't give Fevola away for nothing.

If he is traded we should get a princely sum for him, really.

Fevola to West Coast for Kerr
Whitnall to West Coast for Selwood and 1st rounder

I really hope that we deal with West Coast if either of these players leave as they have a great midfield with great depth and could afford to lose one or two of them in order to get that key forward...

Synbad i agree with you on the lack of leadership i have mentioned this earlier on in the year, but what do you suggest the club does what actions can they take.

my suggestions are
Keep Kouta as captain
Barnaby French vice captain
Jarrod waite, T-bird and Fish take on a leadership role.

Get Brett Ratten to come back (he and Pagan have there differences but i hope they can work it out)

Get rid of Wayne Carey and Libba

drop Kouta as captain

appoint either Stevo or French

What is your reasoning behind this post, MCB?

Especially the last two sentences?

Danny boy stevo aint our next captain. Off field stevo likes to have a good time if you know what i mean and on the field not to inspiring.

Barnaby French and Kouta i say along with Fish, T-bird and Waitey.

I know a lot about Stevo and I say make him captain and find out if he was got it - I know Kouta hasn't.

For me T-Bird Waite and Fish are just too young and still developing. I seriously think we are berefit of a genuine leadership group - maybe we should target a bloke to come in and lend Frenchy and Stevo a hand.

Bring back Craig Braddley!!!!

Look... having the captaincy is exactly what Stevens needs.... we need people to get accountable through responsibility.
Everyone does what they like at Carlton cos there is no sense of responsibility by anyone...... those that have been given responsibility think its just about being Mr Nice Guy....

I dont care if Stevens likes a beer.. or anyone else likes a beer.. i want them to act like they belong at a football club ....if that means go out and party hard thats ok.. as long as they work and train hard and have the clubs best interests at heart!!!

Maybe having a guy like Stevo liking a beer is what they need.. so they can all go out like boys and enjoy each others company...
Theyre pretty young!!!

I dont want a captain who CANT bond thenm cos he likes to go home to his wife and kids at 6pm each night...

Cos that makes them go out without their leader .. and you know what happens next!!!!

By the way.. if Kouta is still captain next year.....and Lance and Campoi are signed up again.....

Id have to describe my club at being on the 'cutting edge' when it comes to thought......and planning.....

Club should have sorted out Lance, Campo and Lappin's contracts months ago. Screw them around like this and we'll end up with nothing for them.

Were not screwing them around.. theyre screwing the club around.....
They were given offers months ago... they want hundreds of thousands of dollars on multiple years.......

They love the club.....

(Its not like they werent being paid hundreds of thousands on multiple term contracts in the past and they didnt deliver right?????)
