I was one of the many members & supporters at MV the day JE was outed. Collo was the only option at the time and I personnally have no regrets about the way I voted.

My issue with Collo (and the current Board and Administration) is that he specifically promised members that day that the Board would not shift home games away from OO without first going to the members. They then turned around and signed a 10 year deal for our home games at TD.

Wake up and realise that Collo has achieved his objective and now wants to concentrate on his TD job (which has always been his #1 priority). It has nothing to do with his health (he will be working hrder than ever) and everything to do with his renumeration package at TD. Will he disclose what sort of bonus/incentive payment he got hen Carlton signed that outrageous 10 year deal? What incentive is he on to deliver a sale of the stadium? Why did he even mention the conflict as a reason when it was handled so well.

It is all bullshit. He screwed us over and walks away.

Well done Collo. A great administrator you are but you will never be a Frank Costa.

The conflict of interest went on way too long, he should've never been allowed to be both prez and TD Ops manager.

Can you explain how the conflict actually affected anyone other than Carlton? I've heard people pissing and moaning about it since he took over the presidency but can't see why opposition supporters give two shits.

Ok, here goes...

Collo got a Carlton a sweetheart deal to go to TD, let's not kid ourselves on this one ok?

This may effect St.Kilda who are negoiating for a new deal with either TD or MCG (only 2 options!) beyond our current deal which expires end of 2007. TD management (ie. Collo) may baulk at giving a really good deal to the Saints (or other clubs renegoiating) due to the amount they have forked out to lure Carlton. I hope this is not the case though.

KERMIT, i think youre wrong.

wrong because Collo was blidsided by people from his board.

It was not his intention to walk.

In a way im glad he is gone.. because he leaves behind a power vacum. We need the change and in my opinion we couldnt afford collo for another 3 years...

In my opinion again.. the Numpties left at the club will be a pushover for anyone with any kind of credibilty.

The grapevine is abuzz with people interested... Noooo... not Fitzy.. he is comfortable doing what hes doing..

But a whole heap of new people...

That can only be good for the club that now people can put their hands up away from the shadow of Jack and Collo.. and help move the club forward.

I reckon inside 12 months we will see a pretty big change to the political landscape .

there is no way blokes like Smorgon and Valmorbida can impress for this club with any real credibility.

One gets driven around town and looks down his nose at people and is so far removed from the average footy punter it isnt funny....... and the other has no clue and loves to blame others for his own responsibilities.

Interesting times ahead and i for one am more optimistic now than i was 3 months ago.

And dont ever believe collo orchestrated this... he didnt!!!...

You say Collo got CFC a sweetheart deal, some Carlton brain surgeons like KERMIT here reckon he screwed CFC over. And you all reckon it is obvious.

Was just answering a question posed to me.

I care about Carlton.

I like the downward spiral they are heading in.

Fair enough Synbad. I don't have any inside knowledge but perception (as opposed to reality) is king in this game.

I've heard from Chris who you think will make the move on the board and I hope it happens. Those guys have the money, power and influence we need at the club. I agree that the current board don't cut the mustard and that Smorgan is a very sad prospect for our club as president.

If Cloo leaving is the catalyst for the change then well and good. I can put up with this board for another 12 months but no more.

Hey Gwilty I here they are working on re-digitising a colour version of your premiership. Now that would be a special gift for all of your fans.

On that DVD there is also a game where you can choose a two time premiership former player to be head of the Dome and he swings them all these ripper deals..... HOURS AND HOURS of UNLIMITED FUN...

Really?

You are deluded.

What exactly have we had handed on a platter? Oh, yes, Brendon Goddard, he was handed on a platter wasn't he? No he wasn't. Carlton cheated got banned and we got first pick. Perhaps if Carlton played by the rules and had a CEO without conflicts I'd have just a tad more respect for the team.

Played by the rules???

didnt you hear???

The salary cap and the draft are illegal. 8)

Listen Gwilty.. you support a whole organisation thats been in the AFL/VFL 100 years years more than collo and has won less premierships than Collo .....

Plus Collos premierships were more recent...

And now you are on your hands and knees begging him to do you favours...

RESPECT!!!!

We are not on our hands and knees begging him to do us any favours.

The Saints can walk to the MCG if they wish.

Have you considered that TD might actually really want St.Kilda, given we average crowds of 40,000 there now?

And he's just about the worst #1 draft pick ever. Enjoy him!

And Carlton in top 4 form would mean we'd average 45,000 at TD.
Your "superiority" has been short lived, and the AFL draft system means it will also be temporary. Enjoy it while it lasts.
