I think the supporters would go into hysterics except for BM who will be telling us its all ok... and "the draft is overated"...

I don't agree with this bit BM, the players have been playing to their ability all year and we've won three games. Just keep playing to your ability fellas.

All this Pride is magnificaent, but really what are you making August into 'Pride Month' :?: On Sunday are you leading the march to the MCG or Commercial Road :?:

It's just I have to know what to wear. Anything in navy blue, should do :?:

Actually 79V I don't believe we have been playing anywhere near our ability this year. I don't think the club does either hence the coaching reveiw at seasons end.

Mark,

I'd agree we're not playing to our ability, except for our players don't like or have the build or want for the hard ball and we don't have great disposal in close, that along with no leadership is why we've been losing. Are you saying the coaches have been de-motivating the senior players?

Finally I do not believe our club will be successful by ‘playing for picks’ or importing ‘cultures.’ We can only be successful if every single player, coach and staff member work as hard as they can, at all times to build an expectation of success and a winning culture that is so ingrained that it becomes second nature.

If that means missing out on the Priority Pick then so be it.

Or just conceivably, the club thinks we are playing to our ability (and Collo has made his thoughts on that pretty clear) but has to be seen to be doing something to keep conspiracy theoriest fans and sponsors happy.

Filth (with 5 wins)
Round 19 - Kangaroos @ TD - predicted loss
Round 20 - Carlton @ MCG - probable loss
Round 21 - Adelaide @ AAMI - predicted loss
Round 22 - Western Bulldogs @ TD - predicted loss

probably finish the season with 5 wins and therefore qualify for a PP

Dawks (with 4 wins)
Round 19 - Brisbane @ Gabba - predicted loss
Round 20 - Essendon* @ MCG - probable loss
Round 21 - Richmond @ TD - 50/50
Round 22 - Sydney @ MCG - predicted loss

no more than 5 wins and therefore qualify for a PP

Carlton (with 3 1/2 wins)
Round 19 - Port Adelaide @ MCG - 50/50
Round 20 - Filth @ MCG - probable win
Round 21 - Essendon* @ MCG - probable loss
Round 22 - Kangaroos @ TD - predicted loss

I can feel another two wins on the horizon, therefore 5 1/2 wins for the year and no PP

Draft order
Filth - 1 & 3
Dawks - 2 & 4
Carlton - 5
Essendon* - 6

Well, following another round of results is seems that we may well be on track to qualifying for a PP now (after the loss on Sunday) and now all that really matters is a jostling for positions at the draft table.

I think that it will be harder for Carlton to lose this week than it would be for them to win so i'm predicting a Carlton win. The filth are decimated with injury and we have a full list of players to choose from plus some decent form. If all else remains as predicted above we should now see the following possible draft sequence.

Pick 1 - Hawthorn
Pick 2 - Carlton
Pick 3 - Collingwood
Pick 4 - Hawthorn
Pick 5 - Carlton
Pick 6 - Collingwood
Pick 7 - Essendon*

The hardest team to predict results for is the dawks. They once again showed on Sunday that they can match it by giving the Lions a real scare for a half of football. You'd think they should lose against the bombers and tigers but then again they are more than capable of getting a result. Like us they have the luxury of notching another win without losing the invaluable PP. If the pies and hawks don't win another game and we win one more then that will be the draft order I think.

The filth are not decimated they are just resting players and playing the system.

I prey that we are smart enough to do the same and we lose to them, and I do not care by how much

A draw. The optimum result. We don't lose the game, we dont lose a PP and we deny the Pies a PP. We've gotta practice kicking points from the goal square in case we are one point behind in the dying stages, or running through points for the Pies of they are a point up, or the fine art of multiple 50m penalties if we are a goal in front. c'mon we can do it.
