Great news...

thought it was a good time to update those interested on web traffic too (sorry DB, no M&D v The Ghost data available as yet!!!):

* Carlton first again in May, although the Pies and Tigers are very close second (hits for month)
* Carlton had an astonishing 92000 unique visitors to the main site for the month of May, almost double that of 2 years ago. The brand is positive despite us sitting at the bottom.

So remember, even if you hate the site, or the articles, log in because it all benefits the Club.

M

Great result for the club, I'd like to see us nudging 40K in the next couple of years and breaking 45K by 2010. 8)

Thanks for the links Wangers and bluey95 ... and continuing good news about our site traffic from molsey too. Thanks all.

You know what, i've always thought we could get 40k members!

We've had 30+ members for 3 years straight now and they have been the worst 3 years of the Carlton Football club! Go have a look at StKilda's mebership when they finished where we have been. They'd be lucky to hit 20k+!

Just think for a moment, just for a moment, we pick up picks 1 & 2 and grab Luke Power..............? Easily hit 35k i believe.

I honestly hope (and i can see it as a possibility) that we can pick up two big name marquee players (ie:- Power, Dal Santo, Kerr, Kosi, (((Goddard))), ect, ect, ect) and picks 1 & 2 and maybe another first rounder due to a trade and 35k should be a minimum!

Anyway........perhaps i'm just having a wank. But it's nice to know that Carlton fans stick by their club even in the shit times!

Well done to all the membership people...and well done Blues supporters for getting on board. The only way is up. :)

...maybe Patrick Smith might write an article about it.

I think it's fantastic that we've gone over the record, I just was surprised at the wording as it made me think we absolutely killed the old record

Perhaps the fact that they sent me 2 memberships that work, and a friend of mine 3, could have inflated the numbers?

Club has confirmed we ain't #1 in terms of websites anymore, with unique visitors dropping away in July. Not sure who's winning but we had a bad month, despite everyone's best efforts (DB is writing an article an hour!)

I guess this is to be expected given our onfield performance, but remains disappointing nonetheless.
