At least our recruiting dept this year have brought across players that are young and not name players from other clubs(except daisy)and we keep p19 and 28,so far they are doing a great job ,hopefully we get our draft picks right this year.

Daisy was LAST year.

We're probably praying Weller slides after Cazz passed the results of the phantom draft onto Rogers.

Cazz seemed like a believer in our work I thought.

..marchbank apparently.. ..he is a tall defender that 'could' be able to be a marking target fwd and/or wing..... ..sounds like the fast mid we are crying out for to me..

..most of our deadwood has been cleared, and a strong fit preseason coupled with more buy in will carry us forward more than just the names on our list.... ..I think speed is much more than just foot speed, with strong work ethic and hard running, you can move the ball faster and open up the opposition more easily.. ..you can also swamp their ball carriers and flood back to block up your defence quickly.. ..I don't think we are a slow team by pace, we just moved the ball slowly and lacked options in the clear too often..

Just read that last year we ranked 17th from scores from turnovers. Which is about right. We have too many unreliable kicks in the team. We have weeded out some, but our too priority should be kicking skills when approaching the draft. Followed by pace and leadership.

Weller (will probably go top 10) Cockatoo, Miller, Rainbow, De Goey a combination of these players may fit the bill

..kicking skills also improve across the team when you have multiple players in clear space to kick to, and team mates are providing time and protection so your decisions are not rushed nor your kick under pressure..

..team work will be the biggest improvement for next year..

Exactly.

I hold some similar opinions as King, but mostly disagree with his assessment of most lists, including ours.
I wouldnt call it a rebuild just because we've lost some of our elder statesmen in Scotland and Waite.Their days were numbered and the kids were about to overtake; that's not rebuild imo and more like natural attrition and upgrading of players.

IMO there's more to it than just Champion data. I'd prefer a more balanced approach by discussing the pros and cons of the list.

King does not suggest any improvement on the horizon from the list despite quarter of our list being turned over in the last 2 years. Blinkers.

As for success in 2015 determining MMs fate...that's possible.

Not that we couldn't do with another good kpp, I think our need for runners with speed skill and smarts is greater.
#19 & #28 on speed skill smarts please.

His analysis of our record v top 8 teams is pretty skewed due to the Port game. A proper analysis not just a superficial analysis using champion data stats would be appreciated.

Still bitter and twisted after the North game.

He was a bit like a Brett Ratten in the headlights, quoting all these stats and couldn't understand why North were losing.

Carlton has acknowledged its list management has not been up to scratch, and that a large share of its supporters have been "pissed off" and need to be re-engaged with the club.

In outlining a 10-point strategic plan, the new Carlton hierarchy has indicated that it needs to follow a youth track, that it will spurn "the quick fix" of yesteryear while captain Marc Murphy said the club's axing of Jeff Garlett and Mitch Robinson had sent a message to the players, who "had enough" of that pair's behaviour.
