Both are good players IMHO and keys to our future...CHF is a tough gig and Waite is still learning the game...he drops a few marks and his kicking can be wonky but I like the way he goes about it and he is a talent waiting to happen..

Fisher is a great one grab mark but needs to get some more smarts below his knees and be less of a one trick pony....we know his kicking lacks depth but he has courage and will always give you a contest. I think being injury prone has affected the way he plays the game and he isn extending himelff fully yet and just needs more game time.....

Lucky to have two very promising young forwards and these two give me hope for the future rather than being a concern...

EB, these two super talented forwars better start delivering soon. Waite - 23 Fish - 22 You can't keep dining out on a handful of games from previous years. They need to hit targets and kick goals when their time comes up every week or join Prenda in the magoos.

No more excuses.

Both are still struggling with injury; Fisher knee soreness and Waite with a quad

I agree though that Waite is overated, cannot do the simple things, drops easy marks, disposal is terrible. Fisher's kicking is also terrible.

It is hard though when you're told to play so far up the ground.

We need Fev staying deep in the square and Waite/Fisher on either flank

I said the same thing watching the game, he has a tendency to dribble it through when there's no need.

Waite needs to start taking marks over head, i ended screaming at the game, pleading for him to take ONE! Last 2 weeks he has been shocking I say give him one more chance and if doesnt improve send him back to bullants to get his confidence back.

Campo did a lot of this too through his career.
Kick through it boys!

both over-rated by carlton supporters.
both will be good footballers at best nothing more.
Waite needs to improve kicking, not go to ground as much, play smarter more accountable football - goes missing for large portions of games.
fisher needs to get the ball more and get it closer to goal so he can hurt opposition, field kicking could improve and ability to read play must improve.

HC you may be right. What stands out with these two and most of our young players is the lack of POISE. We do not have any? Is Tony Elsaugh in charge of the Poise area?

We won't get the best out of many of our players until we get a decent coach who the players will "die for". Somewhere where young blokes like Waite and Fisher, terrific young guys, can play to their potential uinder a decent game plan rather than being outnumbered because everyone is behind the ball. Fisher is an outstanding overhead mark for his size and with Fisher Waite, Fev, Lance, Betts we have as good a forward line as most. Why don't we have a game plan that exploits this strength. Even better why can't we get a coach the players will respect, then you'll see the best out of these guys.

I think they would take more marks if they got better delivery.....Barry Hall gets hit with some lace out stuff unlike Waite for example who seems to be flying over packs or contorting his body to get his hands on theball .agreed he drops plenty but you have to think of who they are playing with and how the game plans work....is Waite any worse than Ashley Hansen who most would trade for.....I dont think so...in fact I think Waite is better.....tougher and works harder....just that hansen has Judd, Kerr etc giving him the footy on the nice wide firm Subi oval lace out...how many overhead pack marks does Hansen take..when I see him its always chest marks usually on his own.

Injuries have stuffed Fisher a bit...lost some pace and taken metres of his kicking ...with Kennedy playing CHF I think we are top heavy down forward with both Waite and Fisher and I wouldnt mind seeing Brad Fisher maybe get a run down back and see how he goes......in preference to Saddington..

Both of these guys are underperforming sure, but they're not alone.
