Sorry about this, but I still can't help this one go through to the keeper.

Ready to say that you were wrong yet, Simonverbeek?

:-D

What are you all on?

All you simmo fans wanted Pagan to give him a go.

Well, he got his go, and I think we've seen enough. He ain't got it.

No size, no ability, doesn't win the ball. He'll be dropped next week for the only other other guy on the same crappy level as him - number 7.

In fact, simmo makes Davies look like a Brownlow medallist.

For fun, my brother and I counted the amount of times he got in the TV screen - it was 10 times in a half for no touches (AND we've got a widescreen TV!).

To everone on this site who reckons this guy has potential, you are F@%&#! dreaming.

OFF TO THE BULLANTS AND ON TO OBSCURITY SIMMO

Kade has genuine talent.

Nonsense, you're living a pipe dream.

There is not one moment in his short career where he has displayed genuine talent.

I'd like to know how you've deduced from watching Carlton that he's got talent. And don;t tell me he looks good for the bullants - glen bowyer looks like chris judd in the bullants - the VFL is irrelevant.

Simpson has shown no evidence that he's a player. He can be assumed to be a dud.

If he doubles his average of 4 touches a game and gets 8 - u can post all the 'I told you so' threads you like - it would be a great achievement.

Not a Carlton long term player by any stretch of the imagination (even your very optimistic imagination.)

This is a very strange website. It seems you can bag any of our best 5 players and get applauded for it. Examples: Fevola's undisciplined and should be traded, Campo is shit (Deano - "kade is better than campo" - get a grip sweetie), Kouta was bagged last year (pretty quiet now arent you all), Whitnall is shit (whatever).

Bottom line - bag the good players and talkingcarlton.com will make a cult out of you.
None of you realise that we're shit because our lower tier of players are not developing and are not AFL standard. This is the problem.

But you can't bag Wiggins on this site - he goes so hard
But you can't bag Sporn on this site - superstar
But you can't bag Davies on this site - he dominates the two's
But you can't bag Bannister on this site - gun

You all watch too much bullants crap which makes some of these duds look good (Longmuir looks like John Coleman when wearing the hallowed red guernsey). Newsflash - VFL form is irrelevant. Big jump people, BIG BIG jump.

And so we come to Kade Simpson. You roll out the excuses:
He's young. he's had 1 good moment in 12 games when the ball bounced the wrong way for vandenberg (YAY!). he goes great in the VFL (so would a midget on crutches). He's got a good kick (gotta get it to kick it people!).

You're all delusional.

Call a dud a "a young player who really tries has a great kick and hasn't had enough time yewt blah blah"

OR

Call a dud a dud - and be realistic about Carlton's lower tier.

Sorry for interrupting wiggoworshippers, spornservants, and simpsonlovers - GO BACK TO BAGGING CHAMPIONS - you're all great at it.

Anyone care to tell me where simmo's playing this week?

1. Simmo is no chance of being delisted this year. So SimonVerbeek enjoy your glory while you can.

I would agree with you that he's a good chance to survive this year. That's not on merit, but rather because Pagan has a smorgasboard buffet of hack footballers to choose from when delisting at the end of the year, yet he can ultimately only choose about 7 players.

On your next point mjonc, I'm not after any glory. I don;t take any joy in the fact that we have players who aren't up to it. I wish simmo would succeed, I wish all of our players would become quality AFL footballers.
But that's my heart talking. My head tells me that a lot of them are crap.

The reason I bumped this thread up again is because I know I was right but still got every poster and his dog jumping down my throat. Contrast the following quotes:

I wrote this at halftime against Adelaide. You may see this as harsh but in essence I was correct. Still, people jump back at me with the following rubbish -

TruBlueBrad wrote:
Kade is fine, don't let him owrry you, was great last week and will still be in the senior team next week. Doubt he'll play for the Bullants again this season.

You can now see that I was talking honestly and predicting Carlton affairs accurately (a good prediction from halftime especially), while those who speak crap such as that quoted above do not have a realistic outlook regarding our lower tier.

I can't let this go through to the keeper. Good luck to simmo, I hope I'm wrong and he succeeds, but my head tells me otherwise, and Dennis Pagan concurred.

It's all good fun, really.

Just say that you were wrong.

He has really stepped up this year, when he would have been excused for not having done so.

Having said that, to reach that superstar level, he really needs to do something with his hair.

It's too bouffant - needs a bit of gel or something.

Maybe Trent Coad can loan him some of the gunk he is flogging.

Does need to work on his right side though in the off season.

Not sure about Brownlow in 2009, but definitely AA in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

In fact I'll go as far as to say he will win a Brownlow Medal within the next 5 years.

He would need to kick with his opposite foot and to hit a few targets over 35 metres away with his good one to do that.

I agree that he can play though, and deserves a spot in the leadership group. He's got balls, which is more than most.

Not much chance, Walker and Murphy will steal too many votes from him.
