What makes you think this way?

How do you know that Gibbs won't be getting splinters in his arse on the bench all year next year?

- Murphy didn't.

How do you know that the other top draft picks won't be banging down the door all year in the bullants?

- If they arent good enough they wont make the team, we should field our best 22.

How do you know that Simmo, Murphy, Stevo & AW won't be flogged to death all year because of little bench rotation.

- More depth in the team than that.

How do you know that golden boy DeLuca wont be given way too much responsibility and reliance to do things he's not capable of doing?

- Deluca wont play a senior game.

Denis believes in his 'tried n true' methods and more than likely wont change. I wish he would but his past record of stubborness leaves me fearing another spoon next year.

dennis has got a final stab at it, if he doesnt change its all over for him.

dane, their all YOUR opinions and that's fine

but

I (& I suspect a lot of other supporters) have lost faith in the current coach and that will affect membership next year a great deal (I'll sign up again) which will then affect a whole lot of other areas.

The club needs serious change!!!

If Murphy wasn't languishing on the bench this year, what makes you think Gibbs would be next year. No logic.

You're like the little dog running around looking for it's toy that's been hidden...looking in all the spots it's been hidden in before. No logic at all.

That Gibbs comment must've been a joke, right? Something you'd normally hear from a primary school kid, such is the total lack of logical thinking.

yeah i know we need change.
i dont know im just optimistic. but optimisim is rare on here.
very rare. which isnt really surprising.
lets just hope carlton can get on with it, whatever need to happen happens and all that shit.
i spend more time on other sites now due to the overall painful experience it is to read this board sometimes.
:( :( :(

It's the same sort of logic CarltonGod used at the start of the thread...West Coast had a priority pick and have now won a premiership, so we need to get the priority pick next year...regardless of the fact we already have two priority picks, and will get another one this year. Primary school stuff. I can understand Ty's disappointment with the lack of intellect shown at this place. Really makes you shake your head and wonder how these people have survived this long in the world.

Carlton plays to following teams at least once in 2007. I've grouped them from the hardest to beat to the possible for 2007. Most games at home at the Dome or MCG.

There's Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and March for a lot of change to happen from the 2006 season. That's 5 months for the kids to step up, in mind body and soul. I'm not expecting the board to take the field, but I am expecting our kids to get bigger and better than 2006; add abit of new blood, and enthusiasm, as the delisting of 7-9 players is going to change the dynamics of this club.

L: WCE
L: Crows

L: Swans
L: Saints
W: Doggies

W: Freo
W: Demons
W: Coll (2)

W: Cats (2)
L: Port
W: Rich (2)
W: Bris

W: Ess (2)
W: Hawks
W: Kanga

Look we could win 5 or 10 next year, and if everything starts off really well, maybe higher. But that's how footy works. With the teams above us, some have a lot of senior players carrying their teams. They are all poised to do good for 2006 failure, but their mind may want to boogy but their body says 'no'. Anything can happen. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

I think we might miss out on the PP next year with a bunch of skilled kids, the Coleman medallist, 4 new high drafts and a PSD, and a few good senior players.

Spoon? In October 2006? Can't see it happening atm.

Its way way too early to be pencilling in Carlton for wooden spoon no 4.

such talk smacks of an excessively resigned and depressed state of mind.

usually when we at a juncture when many supporters all adopt this kind of outlook, something unexpected happens.

The desire of the universe is to hide the future away from us and not let us see it clearly, so when everyone is of a collective mindset to expect spoon number 4, the powers that be are offended and would therefore prefer a different outcome - and we cant go any lower than last can we?

taking a worst possible outlook, even if we are a dead cat, with a change of board and maybe a change of coach a distinct possibility later this year, we need to all remember that dead cats can bounce.

We all saw such an on field 'dead cat bounce' occurrance in 2004.

Its not as bad as this though, our pulse might be a bit thready and breathing at times a little shallow, but we arent by any means dead.
