Ok. So if we can assume it is Russell, then I reckon we should be looking at the following players...

- Troy Chaplin. 196cm, 96kgs.
- Ryan Willits. 197cm, 98kgs.
- Brad Symes. 186cm, 83kgs.

I'd especially look at Symes and Chaplin.

For whtaever reason if I disliked the coach, was interstae and thought my chances were n't given if I felt I deserved them then I would aske too be traded home as well.

Rather it Russell than Bower.

Mind you, it would be good to have Russell and Thornton just sign up and use our picks well and move into next year.

Symes is South Australian so highly unlikely they'd trade him and they'd want more than Russell. Chaplin has been developing well in the past 3 years and given the age of Wakelin and Bishop they would be very keen to keep him. Willits is a possibility.

It will be interesting to read the reaction to SAFS87 post ;)

So now we are going to let Russell, a pick9 and 2 years of development go for a pick23 and while where at it a KP defender go for a pick 24 or even better via the PSD for nothing ..... I hope not.

Can some-one please explain to me how the hell did Pagan get players such as Colbert, Grant, McCarthy etc to the Kangaroos while in-charge. :? Is Millar the missing link?

Surely there is someone at the CFC that would know how to make a pie floater for Russell?

For flowers sake.

I'm by no means a massive Russel fan, but he's one of the only guys on our list who can kick the friggin football properly.

We can't afford to be getting rid of anybody that can kick, given the footskills of our list.

What in gods name is going on at this footy club.

I'm not a Pagan fan either, but he's not friggin Stalin, which is how our players seem to think of him.

Can't you see....

Melvey is building us up for if Pagan decides to override Hughes and say that we won't draft Gibbs because of the 'go home' factor. He'll cite the almost inevitable trade of Russell, combined with the 'efforts' we are 'apparently' about to have to make to keep Bower.

Therefore, Pagan won't want Gibbs... too much of a risk.

I've stuck up for Russell all year. If he is traded home so be it.

Give me Cassisi or round 2 pick in return.

Nah, Melvey likes coming here with "facts", very few of which bear any fruit.

Large pinch of salt is required with anything he says, I'm afraid.

No, spider got canned for acting like a tool when asked about where he got his info.

we would be absolute morons to trade either one of JR or bower, they are both looking like theyre going to be valuable players for us down the line.

ill br crushed if they trade russell. i like the look of him, he can kick, shows great determination, excellent with 1%...just needs the right people to rally around him.

bower, if we trade him....ill be driven f*cking banana sangwich if we trade him.

I got pissed off when my credibility was questioned at 5% out of 100 . I wil will tell you now that chris bryan will not be at the club next year. Ask me my source. Commonsense on this one. Maybe.
