No more mention of "Fev should be the next captain" or "Fev has changed his attitude" in this forum please.

Never hear of too much damage from a headlock, innocent until proven guilty folks.
He may use the standard Collingwood, I was just waiting for a taxi.

I don't want to be negative, and I certainly understand that the details are still unclear at this stage, so it is dangerous to pass judgement...however, things don't look great at this point...

When I first read about this, I was almost relieved. I never subscribed to the fact that Fevola should have been captain, I always thought that 9 months of good behaviour wasn't enough to earn the captaincy, nor was it enough to convince me that he was a changed man.

So, in a way, I am glad that this has happened NOW, and not when he was captain of our footy club. Obviously, it would have been better had it never happened at all, all of our preferred alternative...but something inside me always knew it would probably happen again (and a few things on field, like the Hawthorn game) suggested he still had a way to go.

Very disappointing for the Club, not the time we need this.

This sounds like it could be Pagan's fault.

I don't in any way condone his behaviour, in fact it was an extremely silly thing to do and brings back far too many memories of his fire extinguisher days.

However, I take exception at the the CEO of the AFL completely hanging him out to dry. He has made no attempts to play down the incident and has gone out of his way to make an example of him. But then again, would we expect anything less from the Spew.

But again, it was very foolish of Brendan to put himself in that situation.... poor form.

Just on the CEO of the AFL. Why is he even there? Is he the runner - bench coach, trainer, waterboy or something. He is just on a junket and it's why this whole series is a bloody joke. It's a paid-for end of season trip away for a lucky few. At least he can't get injured now i guess.

From what I have read of this incident, he has not been treated unfairly at all.

His history points to him being a "bad" drunk. He has the choice to drink or not drink, and if he does drink then he is leaving himself open to the consequences of his actions. He gets no sympathy from me for making such poor decisions.

Precisely Headplant. People need to understand that their lives are a series of choices. We decide which choices we make, and we need to understand the consequences of those choices.

This a piss poor effort from the Shag.

To do this while he's overseas representing our country and OUR CLUB is disgraceful. What the hell were you thinking Fev???

I don't have any sympathy for him either Headplant, it's absolutley idiotic behaviour and all his leadership aspirations have gone up in a puff of smoke.

Just from what the Spew says in that article on the AFL website, it feels like another twist of the knife to me..... maybe I'm paranoid but it effectively is another bout of bad press for the CFC.

Agree! Let's not forget that Brendon Gale (AFLPA CEO) and Kein Sheedy were part of the disciplinary committee that sent him home.... it wasnt just the Spew.

BAD DRUNK pretty much sums it up!

OMG - how embarrassment!

I hope their is a welcoming committee at the airport waiting for him headed up by his wife and daughters - how proud they would be.

Fev - you bloody idiot!

The copper heading up the case, Constable Spew was very thorough in his investigation.

He must have lit up a cigarette after that press conference.
