Those on Outlook Express or any other web organiser, just lock in as a reminder for every Friday 'launch of Carlton Board Challenge'. Enter the time as 1 pm, and then you'll be either to 'snooze' or 'dismiss' if it doesn't happen :-D

I must say that Synbad's words fill me with hope however that something is close...

Monday Carltons Board looks so bad
Everyone seems to shit me
Coming Tuesday they look better
Even Pagan looks good
Wednesdays they just have to go
Thursday all the rumours flow
I got Friday on my mind

Chorus:
Gonna be board spill north of the city
Lalala
Gonna be ugly and not pretty
Lalala
Board is gone tonight
this is outta sight to me
Tonight
I’ll vote Smorgan out tonight
Tonight
I’ll lose Diggens tonight
I gotta vote tonight
Monday I’ve got Friday on my mind

I'm sick of Friday being the day. What can't Thursday be the day for once?

All the ineuendo that has and is being bandied around is and has always has been tied up in big business; and a lot of it revolves around the following -

BlueScope Steel (board member Daniel Grollo)
Smorgon Steel (Chairman elPresidente Graham)...their feud with proposed mergers and decisions of the ACCC.

Directions of the Visy Co. as Richard Pratt slows down his own agenda based on his cancer scare.
Bruce Mathieson playing 'broker/godfather' between some major players in the future directorship of the club before he makes his move to the Gold Coast permanent.
Mike Fitzpatrick standing for election by shareholders of Rio Tinto in 2007.

The Baxter Group (Chairman demetriou's waste disposal co.) being acquired by Transpacific Co.

November has been a very busy month in the business world...it wouldn't surprise me at all if those players behind the scenes were moving into position soon...but they should wait to give Bryce Gibbs his moment of glory...as I've said for some months - I'm still betting on a Christmas coup.

Yep.... and he also said... 'If you don't know where you're going, you may not get there" ... which might also be applicable to CFC at present.

Wasn't it he that also answered the question about Grass or Astro Turf and which was better with the answer " Dunno never smoked Astro turf!"

Or was it Vince Lombardi?

A Christmas board coup would be much better than one that happens closer to or during the football season, gives things time to settle down.

Yes and running a club is a walk in the park. If these people can not even organise a ticket, how can we expect them to run the club?

The more you keep telling us it is culminating, and it keeps falling through with lame excuses like above, the more incompetent they and you look.

You have a fixation in being deliberately silly dont you???

Being a president means you have a plan that is instantly recoginsable and you skipper the club to it.

Thats not easy no... so people not capable shouldnt be there.. and they wont...

No just enjoy holding you accountable for a lot of the crap you spew. Too many people blindly believe you, and one thing I do agree with you is not accepting incompetence.
So are they waiting because they are trying to formulate a plan? Can't get people to actually step up? Getting old? Too gutless? Incompetent? They have had 4 years to do something, if they do actually form a ticket I would like to know where they were when they were really needed.

You can hold me accountable.. but just remember.,.. that if when the music stops you dont have a seat to sit on... there will always be my steel capped boot.

wont be long now...

We will call that me holding YOU accountable...

The question that I have is whether Denis will still have a job once the new board is in place.

I can see many reasons why he wouldnt be coach in 2007, but equally, I can see reasons why a new board might decide that Denis is worth persisting with for at least part of next Season.

People have different reasons for doing things.
In fact you can argue that Smorgon rode collos tailcoats thinking it will be a walk in the park to turn this club around and he will be remembered forever and ever as a George Harris Mk2.. when in fact he has no clue about the industry he is in...

and someone else might not have been ready..

For instance are you at the same point in your life now as you were 4 years ago??

Weird how some peoples brain ticks over...
