I have had a Blue Membership since 2005....the stuff that you get is less every year for your dollar...but its not about that though...its at least giving money to the club....
If they woke up and did an interstate membership for people to see games inluded in their state ( ie : everywhere except Vic )...it would get me to buy an interstate membership.
I cant get to Melb to see a game ( spewing )...but at least this year the Blues play up here twice..Gabba and Carrara...
Now if I could get into those games ... I'd purchase one for me and the missus...

An email was sent to me from the club over xmas...asking how we could give suggestions on how to improve memberships...
I replied : That they should have a PDF file on the CFC website that has all the members names and numbers (gold / silver / blue ...etc ) becuase I think it would encourage people to join....everyone likes to see their name in lights ..???
But i guess as a lowly Blue Member...it wasnt taken seriously ??
Id be interested if anyone else thinks this would be helpful ..???
I've raised the entry of games to home state of non-Victorian members in the past and I think there are some AFL regulations that prevent this from happening. I agree though, it would be great.
Not really sure how seeing a list of members would generate more memberships.
I doubt that anyone at the club would term you as a "lowly" Blue Member. However, along with Silver Membership comes other responsibilities, which are not that great, but are there nonetheless. Silver Members, and above, are required to fork out $50 should the club be wound up. Also, I suspect linked in to that clause is the ability to hold voting rights once you are a "financial" member of the club. I'd say this has as much to do with the standard club membership regulations of Victoria as it does with any supposed introduction of different class structures.
As always, give the membership dept a call and share your concerns with them. I'd be very suprised if you weren't treated with anything but respect.
