When a club is low, so is the content of its unofficial site.

Pedro,

Putting a name to such a player rumour in a public forum would only increase the aspertion towards an individual, so I won't be naming a player.

The teams effort this year have been sub standard, so as far as I'm concerned the player group can deal with any aspertions cast against them, if that's what a rumour does.

Putting forward a substantially unfounded rumour based in the faith that we must trust that you know a former player, (and all former players are significantly credible sources...), is both ego stroking and cheap. You name nobody, you stir up innuendo and methane and then end with you last post attempting to define what a rumour actually is.

Not very vintage '79, more like the $2 shop.

Part two - A young player wants out of Carlton because he can't play his natural game under Pagan.

By what I've seen in the past 7 to 8 weeks there's no one who's playing their natural game. There's a lot of lost souls out there looking for guidance.

Believable. And I can imagine who it is, but I also refuse to name him because I don't see how it could be him.

This worries me.

What worries me more is the fact that we can win the Wizard Cup with Pagan and the playing group apparently having nothing wrong between them and then BANG.

Having said that, we don't know who the former player is. He could be a player disenchanted with the club and therefore the motive would be obvious.

However, on face value, it's not great news, particularly with what Beano said. He said it in the training forum IIRC.

For anyone who has being paying attention to any of my posts I brought this up a while ago, now Tryant is hot on the case with 79 in there as well, a bit more than just a rumour I think, especially if I commented from here

To Orangewhip,

I've posted on TBV and TC for over three years and never dealt in rumours, but when genuine carlton people discuss a matter, the source is genuine and the information fits the current landscape, I'll make my judgement about what I post. If it was substantially unfounded I wouldn't have posted it. You're welcome to your opinion, but I fail to see how I'm ego stroking or being cheap. A rumour is information, believe it or disbelieve it, it's up to the individual.

Beano, I thought you suggested that Santy was frustrated but you later said that you had heard that everything was fine. Have I got it wrong, or has there been another twist in the tale?

Nah, from what I know Setanta is fine, happy enough to tip away with the ants and grab his chance next year, no worries on that score 8)

Read with interest and i'll add my 5 cents worth.

If any young gun is unhappy with any coach at any level of sport then that young gun has an attitude problem and is obviously not a team player. If you're not a team player and you have attitude as a young gun, then you are capable of becoming an infectious desease.

We don't need deseases at Carlton, so hey young gun, remember one thing, you play at team sport, and no matter where you go, if you go, the tide turns and with it so might your fortunes elsewhere.

Maybe that was 20 cents worth. :D

I would never doubt 79s info because i know him personally as being a guy of outstanding character.

My problem with all this is. *drumroll*... if a kid.. doesnt like the coach.. its because someone has gotten into him.
the thing about kids is theyre only happy to play... BECAUSE they DONT KNOW ANY BETTER!!!!!

.. the problem with having soft cocks at thye club is their softcockness rubs off on the kids...

You cannot tell me a kid with any talent doesnt want to be told on his own accord how to play by the coach....because if a kid is thinking like that .. he has a serious attitude problem.

However.. if older players who are influential are whingeing about how theyre being played.. it trickles down the list...
then you have a serious problem because NONE of our kids have proven anything enough to warrant that theyre abreast of football enough to complain about how theyre played.

You obviously were never kid doing something you always wanted to do.
You only become cynical of something youve always wanted to do. on your own accord when you get older. :P

Just waite until the end of the season you will see Dennis at his finest he will be ruthless he will not take any passengers and those who he thinks are along for the ride will be gone. I understand that Dennis has already made his decisions on a few players like Digby, Norman, Bannister and they know it and some players are not happy of the treatment they have recieved from Dennis.

That sounds far more believable than the original post. (sorry '79)

Tractor boy, no harm kiddo, but there are young lads there wanting to play, and wanting to play their hearts outs, its not so much as an attitude problem as just disenchanted, they are working their guts out and other guys are getting a softer ride because they have not got as much to prove
now @#$%&! hell, I cant say much more, and hope i dont need to, I wouldnt mind Synbad PMing me, letting me know what he knows and see if it adds up
