Fair point. The 2's were rubbish today.

We have a young side. Bolton will help them learn from that.He needs to learn from it as well. He didn't try anything at all. Could have tried Weiterng up forward and gone with a smaller backline. Could have put an extra man in the defensive fifty to cut off some of the easy short transverse passes that ended up shots on goal. Something. Anything.

I sat watching it knowing we were never going to win and had we pinched it, it would have given people a false idea of where we are at. The only time I was annoyed was when we missed an easy handball to run into the F50 and they ran the length of the ground four wide and kicked an easy goal.

There is a lot to like going forward. Richmond are at least a year ahead of us and their trades last season for running mids was a great move. That's what we have to learn from as well.

A 2nd key forward to start with. Too often we go forward and no one tall is there.

Who did you have in mind? There is nothing shining brightly in 2's.

Could only watch the last qtr due to my sons footy. Sadly that was more than enough.

Sounds like I don't need to rush and watch the first 3.

Appears we were comprehensively outplayed and we never really in it. That is really disappointing.

Adelaide on the rebound next week :yikes:

This is key. Tonight again highlighted our need for extra class and grunt in the midfield, and why we need to leave no stone unturned for Hopper and Kelly.

Shit game to watch.
Shit umpires.
Richmond are shit. They can enjoy another mid table finish and first round finals exit if they make it.

Until Boekhurst is prepared to commit to the contest and take the physical contact that comes with that, he will struggle. I get the decent run at it but there are basic flaws in his game that he has not addressed since he arrived.

All the players know it ... Caddy called him a weak cauliflower after one particularly insipid effort. Blokes run at him because he has a rep for being a pussy.

Graham set himself up for ridicule when he went back for a mark one handed. He shat himself in front of 70,000 people. His attack on a number of contests was weak and his kicking forward of centre was barely VFL standard.
Today showed our lack of depth. Pickett, Graham and Boekhorst lack the courage and intensity required to succeed at AFL level.
Smedts was poor but at least he put his head over the ball.

Richmond are kidding themselves.

Sums it up. Samo not great today...actually since he won r.s.n.

I haven't seen the game.

I see one poster rated Jone's game. Who did he play on and how did he fare this week?

Seems to be an unfortunate trend for years that our RS nominees always have a mare (or multiple mares) after their nomination.

Played on Riewoldt and Martin. It would've been fairly ugly without him, he along with Kreuzer and Cripps were our best by a long way.
